Legs (Trooprally) was the 1st at our Westminster Rally. Check out Post #3 by WVNan and then my Post #5. Our comments grew on Legs as shown in Post #6. Legs just craved the attention for himself before my hubby- Anomoly99, My Hero and I joined him! Jimmy Valentine's brother continues the fun and encourages the ego of Legs Trooprally! LOL
Honestly, I don't know if it was the USA and USMC Flags that Mr. T was flying proudly or newly nicknamed "Legs" getting the positive responses! All joking aside, we know that people appreciate us being out in Westminster every Saturday showing Support for Our Troops. Unfortunately, PatrioticMarineMom had to work but Lurker Bill joined us. We received great response today. There were lots of waves, thumbs up and plenty of enthusiastic beeps from people on motorcycles and mopeds, as well as the others in vehicles. A fine time of the year to be out on those 2 wheelers though! One motorcycle had a really neat horn. Another biker yelled God Bless the USA, Baby!
A couple was walking by and the man said SEMPER FI to Mr. T. The man was a Vietnam Vet. Mr. T told him that his son is in the Marines and his daughter was also in the Marines at one time. The man then said they should bring the troops home now. They shouldnt be over in Iraq. Mr. T said when the mission is done and in victory.
There were enough of us to maintain our permitted spot while splitting forces once Mr. T. spotted the moonbats, who returned to their fall back position from 2 weeks ago. Off go Mr. T and Lurker Bill, marching to the corner as Mr. T had to dodge the trees and shoppe canopies with his high flag pole and flags. Since I missed this last time, I made sure to watch Mr. T as he mastered this maneuver quite well! Mr. Ts narrative is down below but here are a couple of my own observations. One of the moonbats brought their dog. From where I was standing, it looked to be a big yellow lab. Nice looking dog. A good way to catch attention or sympathy, dont you think? Their numbers are dwindling so I guess desperate times call for desperate measures! Anomoly99, My Hero and I could hear all the beeps from our front and knew it was the other half of our force receiving the beeps, not the moonbats and/or their nice looking dog!
We had some surprise visits from a couple FReepers. Paltz, a DC FReeper whom we had met at the Code Pink/WIB Awards Ceremony counter protest, came out to join us for a bit. Mr. T asked if I had any signs and since I didnt he was kind enough to offer Paltz one of his. Was nice to have an extra FReeper. A little after Paltz left, a FReeper, whom we had never met, introduced himself as RebelBanker. He had seen one of the AARs on Free Republic and noticed the jewelry store in the background. He realized it was the exact one that he lived and worked near. He thanked us for being there and also told us that he was a Civil War Reenactor. He chatted with us for awhile and had a chance to meet Mr. T and Lurker Bill as we reunited our forces. RebelBanker plans on joining us when he can.
A lady came up to me and asked what we were doing. I told her we were Supporting the Military. She thanked us for being out there and told me that her son was a Marine. He had passed away but not in combat. I thanked her for her sons service to our country. I told her we were out there every Saturday from 1-3pm. She asked how long we had been doing this and was surprised to hear we had been doing this for about 6 months. She laughed as she wondered why she hadnt seen or noticed us before. Guess she just hasnt been in the right place at the right time! We talked about the moonbats and she wondered why they protested the way they did. I told her they are against the war but instead of honoring the fallen, they choose to focus on the bad aspects. We agreed that if it werent for Our Troops, they wouldnt have the right to protest and express their freedom of speech. She asked what she could do. I told her that she could join us any Saturday from anytime between 1-3pm. We usually have extra signs and she could use or buy some flags. Hopefully, she will come out to join us sometime.

Trooprally wrote: We kept an eye out for the moonbats this week, no longer being surprised if they didnt show up at their regular spot opposite us. If they didnt show up, we were ready to go looking for them.
Sure enough, about 1:50pm, we saw someone walking towards the corner down the street carrying what looked like signs. Up went his sign. Lurker Bill and I peeled out of our formation and headed down to the corner.
We set up in strategic positions to cover all directions of traffic. Since we were actually on the curved section of the corner and not exactly opposite the moonbats we couldnt verbally engage them as we did two weeks ago.
Eventually four moonbats showed up. But our strategic positions allowed all vehicles to see our signs. We received numerous honks, salutes and waves. Walkers stopped by and talked with us, thanking us for being there. We shook hands with a lot of Vets and thanked them for their service.
And promptly at 3pm, the moonbats put away their signs. This week they talked together for a while, probably planning where they should go next time they are out there. Have no fear, we will find them no matter where they go.
EVERY SATURDAY 1-3pm
(With the exception of May 10 - A parade will be taking place on E. Main St.) Please join us if you can. We especially need extra boots on the corner, on the 2nd and last Saturday of each month, when we counter protest the moonbats. The Westminster Gathering/FReep is located on the east side of E. Main Street opposite the library at 50 East Main Street. There is public parking on Winters Street. Follow the signs.
Please Ping DC Chapter! Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy the AAR and join us when you can!
Looks like this left handed Polock isn't getting any respect this week, again!! :-))
It is a great report though. I smiled all the way through it. And Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for the AAR. Good pics. LEGS is looking good there, breeze or no breeze. That, of course, explains all the honks that you are getting. :0)
Awwwwwhhhhh!!! It just means that you are loved!!!
Loved or obsessed with. Either one is okay when posting.

Do I hear the sound of ego there Mr T?
Great report rockerMom.

Thanks for the welcome and all of your hard work! I have an event at the Carroll County Farm Museum this weekend, but will stop by Main Street when I can get loose on a Saturday afternoon.
Great strategery! They did that in Tucson once but stopped after just two of us walked down the street to a place near them.
Thanks for pinging. Guess you will have to deal with the lack of respect at least this week!
Glad you smiled all the way through it. I learned quite a bit from you so thank you!
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed the pics. Yep, LEGS gets us rave reviews!
Thanks Mrs. T!
You’re welcome! Great, looking forward to seeing you again on Main St. when you get a chance.
..., My Hero and Lurker Bill.
Thanks for defending the streets against the ungrateful Hate-Americans!
Our pleasure!
(He must be just the least bit embarassed though.)
The Patriotic Labrador Ladies say, "Lips that touch moonbats will NEVER touch mine!"
I’m pretty sure I already know the answer, but, are paintball markers allowed at these types of events?
I recall reading how these moonbats can get a bit violent sometimes and it seems like some countermeasures would be nice on such occasions.
Hooray!! You are definitely the “good guys”!
I just learned that the Westminster Flower & Jazz Festival will be on Main Street from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm this Saturday. A friend of mine is with the Historical Society and she said her group’s table will be right by Pomeroy’s Jewelry store - your usual rally spot.
Might be worth a recon before deploying the flags and signs...
Thanks for the info. We don’t have a permit in our usual spot for that day. We were thinking of finding another spot but just decided we will skip this Saturday. We plan on being back on May 17. If you aren’t busy, we hope you can join us! Thanks again for the info.
