With gas prices at $3.60 nationally, and on a steady march toward $4, would you support responsible energy development in the Arctic, and in areas far offshore, if it would mean cheaper prices and less dependence on foreign, unstable nations?

Question doesn’t go far enough. What about coal-to-oil, or shale oil?? There is where our reserves are truly massive.

...would you support responsible energy development in the Arctic...I voted yes but that statement above negates anything that would come from our elected representatives. When was the last time they acted responsibly on energy development or anything else.
Looks like a cheap trick to beg for contributions. Do something first then ask for contributions.

Cheaper oil prices for China and India, you mean?
Perhaps a better strategy would be for America to actually get in the fight like China has, start wrangling some deals out of oil-rich Africa, strong-arming some sheiks like Reagan's Bill Casey did, etc.
Come on, this is cold war, nothing less. Seems we need some cutthroat-business CEO types in Washington instead of these pansies.
If and when America loses her dominance, the world will be worse off, whether the new hegemon be muslim or Chinese or whatever. We need to get in this fight, not sit around fighting over whether we should be in there fighting.

Roy Blunt is my congressperson. Voted for him every time he has run for that office, not a bad politician as politicians go. He has served several terms in the house, but I don't recall him submitting legislation for ANWR.
I had checked yes and was ready to Vote & Submit when I read the small print below:
By voting you will be signed up to my email list.
Thanks but no thanks Roy.

I voted yes, but was not very impressed with the picture of him and the BIG PORK CHECK he landed for his home state. When are these clowns going to realize what they are doing to us?

Absolutely! Conservatives need to push for development of ALL our resources and construction of new refineries and nuclear plants. We also need to immediately abolish the ethanol mandate to start bringing food prices down.....and lay the blame for our energy and food emergency where it belongs.....at the feet of RATS and RINOS

Back in my wilder days 70’s & 80’s, we used to party at Barefoot Charlies. Ever hear of it?

One man’s pork is another man’s necessity. Springfield-Branson airport needed some serious upgrading.

Yes, my driveway just firmed up this week. My wife is from Sampson county N.C.. A little town called Clinton. We go there every year about Easter and spend a week at Wrightsville beach, by Wilmington, and with friends and relatives.

I learned to golf at Sand Lake. Trout fished every mile of Cooks Run(with night crawlers) and practically lived at Golden Lake every summer in the 60’s & 70’s. My Dad used to drive a logging truck to a big saw mill in Phelps back in the 40’s and 50’s.

The city of Branson has nothing to do with the airport. It is simply called Springfield Branson airport. And yes as a matter of fact, Springfield doesn’t have a bunch of money.
