A new poll concludes that Arizonans believe Sen. Barack Obama poses the biggest challenge to John McCain in the presidential race, but that the Arizona senator will ultimately win the White House.
The poll of 577 registered voters found that voters favored McCain over Obama 47 percent to 38 percent. They favored McCain over Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton 53 percent to 37 percent.
The voters polled said they believe McCain likely will beat Obama in November. A similar February poll showed Arizonans thought Obama would beat McCain.
The poll was conducted April 24-27 by the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University and Channel Eight/KAET-TV. The survey has a sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
OMG..that sounds about as good as the Larry Storch School of acting...LOL
This article lost any vestige of credibility when I read the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism part........
Is it a joke? Sarcasm?
Jesus
don’t forget the “katie couric school of broadcasting”
Let’s see, Arizonans actually think I care what they think. They have been happy with John representing their state despite his ‘Maverick’ antics. Nuff said.
I may not be perfect, but at least I wouldn’t back either of my Senators for President. And sadly, John agrees with them all too often.

What stupid look?
He’s only ahead of Obama by 9 in his home state? That doesn’t sound very strong.
Looks like AZ is going against the national trend that shows Clinton would be stronger as the Demo candidate. This poll shows McCain easily beating her in AZ.
We tried to recall mccain about 6 years ago, unfortunatley we failed. McCain is not at all popular with Arizona conservatives...because we know him better than anyone else.
