FACING SOUTH EXCLUSIVE: D.C. nonprofit aimed at women voters behind deceptive N.C. robo-calls Chris Kromm Facing South
Who's behind the mysterious "robo-calls" that have spread misleading voter information and sown confusion and frustration among North Carolina residents over the last week?
Facing South has confirmed the source of the calls, and the mastermind is Women's Voices Women Vote, a D.C.-based nonprofit which aims to boost voting among "unmarried women voters."
What's more, Facing South has learned that the firestorm Women's Voices has ignited in North Carolina isn't the group's first brush with controversy. Women's Voices' questionable tactics have spawned thousands of voter complaints in at least 11 states and brought harsh condemnation from some election officials for their secrecy, misleading nature and likely violations of election law.

What confusion were they sowing?
What I gathered was that they were trying to make voters think that they really weren’t registered to vote, even those who already were. Or give them disniformation as to how to register, so they wouldn’t be properly registered to vote. They apparently back Hillary over Obama, and were trying to confuse potential voters for Obama.
The point being, the Rats were all ready to start vilifying Republicans for it, and it turns out to be affiliated with their very own Hillary Clinton.
Apparently the recording tells the target that she is not registered to vote. It also claims it’s sending a registration package for them to sign (end date for registration has passed). People who are registered are calling registrar to confirm registration, complain etc.
Women’s Voice is a Hitlery front group. They are obviously trying their best to reduce black support for the muslim candidate. Hence, the calls to Lamont, Lateshia, and the rest.
“Some have also questioned the ties between Women’s Voices operatives and Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton. Gardner, for example, contributed $2,500 to Clinton’s HILLPAC on May 4, 2006, and in March 2005 she donated a total of $4,200 to Clinton, according to The Center for Responsive Politics’ OpenSecrets.org. She has not contributed to the Obama campaign, according to the database.
Women’s Voices Executive Director Joe Goode worked for Bill Clinton’s election campaign in 1992 as a pollster; the group’s website says he was intimately involved in “development and implementation of all polling and focus groups done for the presidential primary and general election campaigns” for Clinton.
Women’s Voices board member John Podesta, former Chief of Staff for President Bill Clinton, donated $2,300 to Hillary Clinton on April 19, 2007, according to OpenSecrets.org. Podesta also donated $1,000 to Barack Obama in July 2004, but that was well before Obama announced his candidacy for president.”
I’m not good at the connecting-the-dots stuff, but apparently Gloria Steinem also has ties to this group.
I can see the confusion - but cannot decipher what result they were trying for..?
Seem that someone would be expected to gain from felonious actions but, apart from seeing that someone used to work for Cinton, I missed it.
If people think they’re not registered because they believe these calls, they may not bother to vote. If they believe the disinformation, they may improperly register. So either they don’t bother to vote, or they would be ineligible to vote. it’s been targeting blacks, so it seems that they’re trying to quash potential votes for Obama. Rat dirty tricks, that they were dying to pin on Republicans.
The call implies that there may be something amiss with the persons (usually a black male) registration status. That implication is then backed up by an offer to send a new form for that particular voter. Result: The voters perhaps get confused and since the time has past they may wrongly think they are not registered to vote. Advantage: Her Highness :)
Ahhh-Gloria Steinem, who said this— “White men only vote for Obama to be associated with the perceived virility of a Black Man”—is on the advisory board.
Didn’t know about Gloria Steinem’s links to this organization. Not surprising though when one considers that John Podesta, founder of CrAP (CenteR for American Progess), welfare queens, and democrats work here.

LOL, I was going to respond to that with “no way!”, but then I came back to reality. :)
I bet the media will be right on top of this egregious example of attempted disenfranchisement! Oh wait, it wasn’t Republicans.
LOL. Steinem makes it clear what dominates her thinking! Who else would reach such a conclusion?
I’m getting auto calls at the rate of about three a day.
Most are for the local D races. A couple for Gov, both R & D.
IIRC I got 1 BHO call and no HRC calls so far.
I never know if they call, I never answer my phone, it’s always for my husband :) I should, I’ve love to let a rat caller have an earful, so they could go spin it into a “bouncy” at the DUmp.
LOL! Did you see that one of the comments at the end called the plot "rovian"? Maybe they have something there!
Karl Rove should be flattered, his name has entered common usage as a synonym for Machiavellan genius :) I wonder if the rats realise the homage they pay him by saying that? At any rate, even when the scandal is purely a rat affair, they find a way to try to tar Republicans with the brush. I bet they’re squirming over this one though. LOL!
Thanks. I’m on a mobile and avoid clicking on links because script freezes up my browser.
And here we go again-abc11( http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/local&id=6113377&pt=print ) do a story on this, and again completely neglects to mention any hint of the Clinton or Rat relationship to it-can there be ANY doubt that if there had been the remotest tie to a Republican, they would’ve emblazoned it in the headline?
Delay delivery of something that was already mailed out? Good luck with that. I wonder if anyone who got the call has actually received the forms.
