NewsMax must be excerpted
04/29/08 | Jim Robinson

Just received a notice from NewsMax.com. They want us to post brief excerpts and links only from their site from now on.

Thanks

Jim

Um...OK. Considering we’re already probably providing them 3/4 of their readership, this may not be smart of them, but it’s their call and your home. Excerpt it is!

Ok thanks for the heads up.

Now, can we impose the same kind of rule on Newsmax? Tit, for tat.

Fine by me, Joe Farah hasn’t written more than 5 words in a row that make sense for some time.

How do we decide what portion of their crappy "journalism" to keep as the excerpts?

Perhaps nothing but "a", "and" and "the"?

:)

WorldNetDaily and News Max both owned by Farah?

I thought Farah was World Nut Daily. I don’t know who runs Newsmax now...I used to read them all the time back when Christopher Ruddy’s stuff showed up regularly, but they kind of jumped the shark for me when John Leboutiller (sp?) went whacko.

Ah, well, can’t get too excited about it. They make it too hard to bring their stuff to the forum, then people won’t. But it’s their content, after all. BTT.

I used to go to Newsmax, but then they wanted me to sign up and give my email address. I obliged, but when they started flooding my email with headline nonsense, I to block them and quit going to their site.

Damn! You’re right! Shows how much I leave the comfortable confines of FR in that last few years.

Now I’m not sure who I insulted... ;)

Speaking of posting rules...just wondering. I know that the NY Post must be excerpted. What is the rule for cartoons (Delonas & Ramirez) appearing in the Post? I have had them pulled in the past, yet I see them posted by other FReepers. Thanks, Jim.
