Heard E.D. Hill mention this earlier today. It’s been confirmed: Jeremiah Wright’s bodyguards are Nation of Islam goons. Several Farrakhan acolytes were also in the audience for Wright’s vaudeville performance at the National Press Club, including one of our favorite race clowns, Malik Zulu Shabazz, and America’s favorite race clown politician, Marion Barry. [it’s on a thread about Matthews mocking Bill Kristol, but then in the transcript of the Matthews show there’s the beauuutiful comment from Obama’s campaign manager basically imploring the Reverend to STFU. This is great entertainment.]
Here is something beautiful, on the “HardBall” show Obama’s #1 campaign flack just dissed the “Reverend” Wright as pursuing his own agenda NOT in Obama’s best interest — Obama’s campaign must be in a panic to go public against Wright in this way, it’s a not-so-veiled attempt to tell Wright to STFU but I doubt it will work. IF Wright cared most about getting Obama elected he would not be out there now. Some combination of his intense ideology, egomania, and resentment at Obama has led Wright to seize the opportunity for a national platform for his racist Afro-centric ideology even though he could very well sink Obama’s campaign with these outpourings. Wright can sell books, become rich(er), go on a national speaking tour for $20K a pop, etc.
