Al Franken's career as an entertainer made him famous and rich and positioned him to run for the U.S. Senate.
But now, just as he appears on the verge of securing the DFL endorsement to take on Republican Sen. Norm Coleman, Franken could be tripped up by missteps in the way his show business enterprise was run.

Franken isn’t a comedian, he’s a joke.
Tripped up by the way his business was run. They make it sound like Franken had nothing to do with it.

He is an effing hypocrite. Why should anyone be surprised by that. Franken lied, taxpayers sighed!

If you are a leftist, your criminal acts are ‘mishaps’. But if you are a conservative, you can’t even disagree with a reporter without risking being prosecuted.
Our experience in North Carolina wasn't good with a senator who didn't pay his taxes, namely John Edwards. Not once or twice, which could be oversights, slip ups, but year after year he didn't pay his property taxes when due. Of course, John Edwards as the Breck Girl, had better comedy material than Al Franken, but it's the principle of the thing.
What a bunch of asshats.
