PatrioticMarineMom and I had a warm, windy day consisting of spring flurries. Flurries of supporters and white petals from the flowering pear trees that line Main Street! PatrioticMarineMom was holding her USMC Flag and her favorite Marine son sign. I had my USA Flag and one of my favorite signs: God Bless The Military and Their Families. We received a decent amount of beeps, waves and thumbs up. We also received a few salutes, SEMPER FI and OOORAH shouts. Those are always good gestures to see and hear.
One man thanked us for being there. We told him that we are out every Saturday from 1-3pm to Support Our Troops and it was necessary to show our support to keep the troop's morale up. He agreed and really appreciated what we were doing. Two older men also stopped to chat and thank us. As they were walking away, the one older man turned around to say, I might have Brie on occasion, but I agree with you gals! A man and his wife were walking down the street and stopped to thank us. The man was a former Marine (AirWing) who served from 1968-71. We thanked him for his service. Of course he and his wife understood the importance of what we were doing. We told him that we were there every Saturday. He was really thankful and impressed that we took every Saturday out of our schedules to Support Our Troops. I told him it was the least that we could do for our brave soldiers that sacrifice so much for us.
An older lady looked at our signs and said God Bless You. Another lady saw my sign and asked if I had a son or daughter in the military. I pointed to PatrioticMarineMom and said that her son was a Marine. I told her that my son was best friends with PatrioticMarineMom's son, Joshua. Speaking of Joshua, we were honored by his presence 2 weeks in a row! This time, he only stopped by for a few minutes but great to see Westminster's fine Marine! The funniest conversation of the day included two friendly ladies who say Hi to us on a regular basis. They said Hi Ladies - Where Are The Men? PatrioticMarineMom said her husband was home planting flowers. I then added that my husband was home cutting grass. We all got a laugh out of that! While us Patriotic ladies were doing our duty, our men were at home doing their duties! Yes, the grass is greener and the flowers are brighter on the other side! LOL
EVERY SATURDAY 1-3pm
Please join us if you can. We especially need extra boots on the corner, on the 2nd and last Saturday of each month, when we counter protest the moonbats.
The Westminster Gathering/FReep is located on the east side of E. Main Street opposite the library at 50 East Main Street. There is public parking on Winters Street. Follow the signs.

It's great that you had so many patriots stop by. While FReepers stand on the corner supporting our troops because it is the right thing to do, it is always encouraging when you know we are appreciated by those who don't/can't.

You can be honored that I didn’t include Buford but it wasn’t because I forgot him or he was in our bad graces. Just only wanted to trouble you this time. Yes, it is encouraging to know the local patriots appreciate what we are doing because they don’t or can’t.
