One can neuter a tomcat with a rubber band, just put it on nice and tight leave it, “they” dry up. So I’ve heard.
And you know the females hunt more than the males.
Just putting bells on cats would save millions of birds, and the bells don’t prevent them from catching mice and rats.
The number one killer of young children in this country: mommy’s boyfreind, or the stepdad. Beware of stepdads taking out large life insurance policies on their stepkids.
Many children each year are accidentally killed by horses. But kids are drawn to them like iron filings to magnets.
Dogs running in packs have attacked and mauled children to death. But I’m now on my third spaniel, the first came to me as a puppy when I was two years old, and my folks taught me how to care for animals and particularly be wary of those I do not know. I will always have a dog. (Along with eight-to-ten cats!)
LOL. He is scary. Reminds me of Hugo Chavez when he ran for office in Venezuela.
No surprise then, that Hugo’s opinion is that BHO should be our next president. Makes my skin crawl just to think it.
“I am already a slave in a cat-run world”.
I know exactly what you mean.
If humans were responsible, there would be no feral cats. So, don’t take any problems out on them since it is not their fault they were born and crave food and shelter. Blame people....and help the cat situation by getting everyone you see FIXED.
Hey hey hey.... stay away from me woman. Who are you, Lorena Bobbitt?
Yer next!
they should send them to NYC to take care of the millions of rats......
Most animal shelters work with vets who will give discounts to spay and neuter animals. You don't have to get the animal at the shelter, either. Although it's been many years, I remember getting our 2 cats fixed, one spayed, one neutered, and the procedures were about 1/3 the cost normally charged by vets in the area, and we didn't get these cats from the shelter. We just took them there to get fixed. Vaccinations were also discounted too.
But maybe things have changed. I hope not.

I recall a TV program about some problems with introduced species in Australia. First off, rabbits were introduced, and without their natural enemies, their population exploded, competing for food sources with native species. So somebody brought in (formerly) domestic cats to help control the rabbit population. Well, cats, being pretty cagey predators found that while rabbit was pretty tasty, they could be much harder to catch than many of the native species. So not only were the native species having to compete for limited food, they were completely unprotected against the cats as predators.
However, it seems that Aborigines find them to be quite tasty, and a good food source. It was hard to watch them chase, catch, and cook what look like domestic kitties, but these cats have been living in the wild with no human contact for multiple generations (of cats). They're wild animals, and ruthless predators.

Lots of animals kill for fun. Just about all predators, in fact. Including humans.
The story otherwise is just bambified propaganda.
“If they can bring down a fawn or small doe”
Yeah we have some vicious cats in our area too, but I don’t think they have brought down a deer or child... yet.
I was refering to the local coyotes...the four-legged type.
Yeah I know, I was just having some fun. :-)
