The American Tea party

Posted on 04/14/2008 7:57:44 PM PDT by Lloyd Marcus

Folks, it is time that we every day Americans say, “enough” to the trashing of everything we hold dear. America needs an American Tea Party, a rally in Washington DC protesting political correctness and the far left movement of our country. Most of us want to say, “Merry Christmas!” Most of us know speaking English is best for all Americans. Most of us are not offended by public prayer. Most of us know partial birth abortion is murder. While I have dear homosexual friends, most of us believe marriage should remain between a man and a woman. Most of us love and highly respect our military.

Too many Americans have become intimidated by name calling; racist, sexist, bigot and homophobic. No matter how logical, sincere or truthful your point, being hit with one of these names is guaranteed to shut you up and going along to get along. I say, Enough!”

I propose a gathering of a million Americans in Washington to take back our country. Unlike the typical rally by the left, we will not scream obscenities and spew hate. Our rally will be a celebration of the goodness of America. To the left, this is as painful as showing Dracula the cross.

If you feel as I do, please contact me. Let's get this long overdue celebration of our great nation's traditions and values going. God Bless. Lloyd Marcus

How do you expect to take back our country (from whom?) by celebrating these values in a public demonstration? We already have a way to demonstrate our wishes: the ballot box. It’s the American Way.

I think Obama is doing plenty to get America sick of the double standards of liberalism.

We did this in 1999 and again in 2000. GREAT experience. Held them at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial.

Here's a link to the after action report...read through iut, and then link through to Part II from that thread.

I AGREE, I’m sick of political correctness, whether at work (diverthity-discrimination against the White Male), the stores (high food prices), the gas station (ethanol), the news (global warming), our Justice system, (criminals getting away with murder), Illegal ALIENS (not immigrants, they’re aliens) getting away with crime, the Universities (true bastions of liberalism/communism) indoctrinating and alienating as part of their curriculum, etc., etc., etc. The ballot box doesn’t work anymore. I’m sick of scum liberals, PERIOD......... I want my Country back, NOW!!!!!!!! I agree with LLoyd Marcus.

The ballot box doesn’t work anymore.

I have to agree with you there. We've become a democracy and that has killed the ballot box as a way to change anything for the good. But joining the protesters that scream for "justice" will not be any more effective than supporting the lesser of two evils candidates that populate the ballots these days.

1. Soap Box

2. Ballot Box

3. Jury Box

4. Need I say the fourth?

Number 1 isn’t working, number 2 isn’t working, we’re waiting on number 3 right now.

The outcome is ugly.

Lloyd you seem like a nice guy, let me give you some advice.

Get off the “million man march” thingy. It doesn’t work for conservatives. Spend your time on more direct interventions that can have an immediate effect and build that into a long term effort.

Million man marches are okay for making the participants feel good about themselves but do little to advance the ball down the field.

Four yards and a cloud of dust is how things get done politically in the USA. Marches are for cheerleaders.

Marches are for cheerleaders.

But Soldiers march, when they drill, don't they....

As symbolic as a Million PATRIOT March can be, it will stimulate thinking in the Capitol and hopefully the media that we are the true Americans with the only agenda being, that "WE THE PEOPLE" DEMAND THAT OUR FREEDOMS BE RESTORED AND PROTECTED.

I’m curious. How many members does this party have, preferably in millions. Currently the Democrats and Republicans are claiming 72 million and 55 million respectively. Now I’ll grant you that I think these numbers are most likely wildly inflated, but both parties probably easily have 2/3 of their respective numbers in registered voters. Does this Falcon party have even a million members? If not, I’d say the Reagan conservatives have NOT gone to the birds.

“As symbolic as a Million PATRIOT March can be, it will stimulate thinking in the Capitol and hopefully the media that we are the true Americans...”

First you won’t get anywhere close to a million, maybe a couple thousand and of you think the media is going to embrace your effort and suddeny have an epiphany as opposed to making you look like a fool or ignoring you altogether, this is not the business for you.

That Tea Party would need to go to the public schools, the legislatures, and the news media nests, and dump the contents.

With all respect, demonstrations are a waste of a lot of peoples time. They’re “feel good” measures that are ignored by those in power.

The Dems and liberals are dead. They are a slave society, essentialy. What they need is another fake revolution so they do not feel like slaves doing what they do as slaves. It’s a process. Unfortunately it takes with it a lot of decent folkes in the midsts. It has to look PC and include such decent folkes. The enslaved culture is like this. It needs PC reasons, and, thus, instead of a King, we put a “system”, and, then, instead of a “system”, a dictator. Just change the labels for them, they feel better and vote for you.

It is not intended for 2008. It is intended to become THE conservative party over the next few years. It is long term and serious. 2012 we will have a candidate for prez.

I agree with everything you said but the Facts are that Americans such as you and I are so few in numbers these days that we aren’t even a pimple on a politicians ass.

How did I come to this conclusion? Take a look back at who initially was running for the Office of President. We had some serious Conservatives in the running. Did you notice how fast they dropped off the list?

Do you see who is left running? Three socialists who say basically the same thing. Our border enforcement is going to drift off into something called ‘virtual enforcement’. The invasion will continue and our personal Liberty will disolve.

Buy yourself a good book, put a puppy on your lap and enjoy what is left of your life. Do whatever you can to stop remembering about the yesterday of America. It’s gone.

I’m sick of the Democratic Party.
I’m sick of the Republican Party.
But the Tea Party is quite another thing.

Instead of throwing tea overboard, we need to throw
our politicians and legislators overboard. They all
need to be replaced with volunteers like the original
congress. This, however, is not a protest, it is a
rebellion.

Time to RESET our constitution.

Protests work because politicians respond to whiney,
parasitic bullies. Conservatives have jobs and are
by nature polite, civilized and patient. Ironically,
through taxes, deadbeat protesters are supported by
the very people they protest.

What “they” don’t understand is... if conservatism
disappears, they will also disappear.

My Opinion.

NOT A CHRISTOPHOBE

I Think, therefore I am conservative.

We need a 2nd Amendment "Well Armed Militia" march on Washington where thousands of citizens exercise their 2nd Amendment RIGHT to bear arms.

Would any politicians have "a set" to carry their favorite hunting rifle down the street, would the mayor/police allow citizens to actually exercise their right??

If not, what would that say to the world, when American politicians don't allow their own people the freedom they so espouse around the world?

What message would that say to We the People, the gun owners - you have no rights??
