"McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they (the missiles) get to the ground? He doesn't know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues." ...Rockefeller seems to have McCain mixed up with those pilots who bombed hospitals, pedestrian bridges and the Chinese embassy from 35,000 feet in Kosovo back in the late nineties - oh, wait a minute, that was Clinton's war wasn't it - and maybe that's why Rocky apologized so fast......

Generalizations may get me nowhere, but consistently sending a KKKlansman and a liberal Rockefeller to the Senate speaks volumes about why WV is 48th to 50th in any important ranking of a state’s performance.

The Republican party is very much established in WV and is making headway against the cronyism that has been established in this State for the last fifty years.

We’ll have to overlook Bob Taft’s ethics violations as just an oversight I guess. By the Way party is Strickland???

Looks like all the States have some work to do.

I hope we all live long enough to see West Virginia turn around.

As far as Ohio goes, there’s no question we have been betrayed by corrupt Republicans. But we usually throw the bad eggs out. We don’t keep sending them back to DC. That’s why we’re stuck with the ‘rats.

By the way, I don’t consider Taft corrupt for enjoying a couple of free golf games. I consider him a spineless elitist with no convictions who squandered an opportunity to make a positive difference. We’re living with his legacy.
