An upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday
He won't have to. This will completely fly under the MSM's radar.
How cool can it get????? :)
considerable discussion on yesterday’s thread.
The libs will spin it into a conspiritorial propaganda release.
Recall the satellite videos of truck convoys from Iraq to Syria awhile back?
Like an Israeli jet in Syria.
Liberals: “La la Nah nah! I can’t hear you!” (Hands over ears.)
Here’s the real test, will Bush even mention it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he says nothing.
Just another govt report most everyone in the country will hear nothing about !
I think Bush only mentions them if they are Bi-partisan reports otherwise the MSM and the Rats slap him..
Even lower. This will be completely ignored, if possible. The only thing that would bring it to the forefront would be if the Administration made a big deal of it. And I don't see that happening, what with their track record.
There’s nothing to see here. Move along everyone, move along...
Bush lost his balls a long time ago.
Nancy Pelosi may have them in a jar.....I think Laura ought to slap her hideousness... I’d love to see it.
The inspectors only searched government, industrial, and warehouse sites. The WMD stuff could be anywhere. We certainly have not searched every single building in Iraq.
Maybe old Mr. Akbar, formerly of the Baath Party, has a crate of stuff sitting in the corner of his seventh floor apartment in downtown Baghdad?
Maybe the refrigerator of a restaurant run by Mr. Ali, also formerly of the Baath Party, has a mayonnaise jar of anthrax sitting there in a brown paper bag?
When are the U.N. Inspectors expected to arrive in Syria now?
If there is a reason why the Bush Administration has decided not to pursue the issue, they are keeping it very quiet. It may be because they do not wish to interrupt an ongoing intelligence operation or expose our assets. Or it may be because they no longer care.
“These are not the WMDs you are looking for.” /channeling Obi Wan
I have always thought history will be far kinder to Bush than many realize. I think if we knew the full extent of the 3 dimensional chess being played behind the scenes, it would change everyone’s views (even supporters, because I think its far more complicated). I don’t mean to sound all X FILES ish, but the full extent of the France/Russia/UN/Iraq/oil for food/ WMDs issue etc etc is probably far more amazing than we even realize.
Rove, you cunning b*&^%%d!
I do concur with that.... One day it will all wash out.
You do know there are some things a President CAN’T talk about without endangering informants, troops, and strategy, do you not?
The President said in his post-911 address that there are some operations we will never know about. I can’t believe the idiots in this country who believe they know everything with probably 1/1000th of the actual intel.
One or two of them are right now pontificating on a barstool near you, or posting on Free Republic.
They won’t have to. This story will never air in this country on national media.
I’m inclined to agree, what with odd unexplained changes of position and rhetoric; I remember the Europeans were laughing at the idea of forgiving Iraqi debt until Baker went around and whispered something in their ears, and they all came along smiling. Did he threaten them, or give give them a free pass on something we could have crushed them with? I’m hoping I live long enough to find out the whole truth.
Well, you proved my point better than I ever could!
Back to the barstool, Cliff ...
Those were for Saddam's Beanie Baby collection which he didn't want damaged in the war.
Good news Jenny, Bush Kneepads are on sale at Costco this week.
Hurry up, supplies are limited.
The MSM will never let this happen...The are way to invested in the “There wa never WMD” narrative. Maybe 20 years from now, during Chelsea Clintons administration, they will admit it...
“Good news Jenny, Bush Kneepads are on sale at Costco this week.”
Did you get a pink tee shirt with your membership?
Of course the production facilities were found. They were well known and the first places the U.N. weapons inspectors went. The majority of the facilities were bombed during 1991 and before that by the Iranians. The Iranians were the first to strike the nuclear facility that Israel later bombed. Muthanna State Establishment was the primary Iraqi production facility for chemical weapons.
Just to clarify: you’re mostly pissed that Bush has spent the past several years rolling over and playing dead, and didn’t necessarily have problems with him back when it appeared he still had a pair. Does that about sum it up?
Bush’s first mistake was not cleaning house of the entrenched ‘Rat infestation throughout the federal government, as is standard and accepted practice every time an Administration changes hands. Second mistake was keeping on that a$$hole Norman Mineta at Transportation. Third mistake was keeping that snake George Tenet over at CIA.
The fact is, I had problems with him the first time he uttered that bullsh*t about ‘compassionate conservatism’, and started playing footsie with Fat Teddy Kennedy and the rest of those ‘Rats who played him for a sucker. Unfortunately, just like this year, the GOP rammed Bush down the throats of conservatives saying ‘try it, you’ll like it’ and Mikey don’t like it, and never will. It’s the same con game with John McInsane this year. And the GOP elders know that when push comes to shove, the sheep of the RINO Party will throw the lever or push the button for McPain, instead of letting Hiliarly or Obama-lama-ding-dong get to the White House.
Their strategy may or may not work this time around.
But as for George W. Bush, in the wake of 9/11, I was impressed with him and felt that he rose to the occasion.
Then, he started in with that horse manure about Islam being a ‘religion of peace’ when what he should have done is a more selective version of what Roosevelt did with the Japs, which was to round up all the radical CAIR-types, send them and their terrorist-sympathizing brethren in the media off to Gitmo or some other resort for examination and interrogation until a personal threat assessment on each and every one of them was complete.
And if that were not enough, this accursed ‘Road Map To Rest-In-Peace-Israel’ is an abomination and no way to treat an ally in the War on Terror, and Bush’s surrender to Comrade Chia Pet in North Korea with the vaunted ‘six party talks’ is a disgrace because what Bush has done is sell out the North Korean people for some intangible benefit perceived IF (big if) they can get Kim Dong Il to behave.
And of course there is Iran. Ahmadinnerjacket is smacking Bush in the face with the fait accompli’ of thousands of centrifuges, the only purpose of which is to refine raw radioactive material into weapons grade material, and all Bush is doing is flapping his gums about how the U.S. ‘won’t allow’ Iran to have a nuclear weapon, while Condi the Piano Player schmoozes with our enemies and screws our friends. Less talk, and more action is what’s needed. Is Bush still up for that? Sure, we all like to think so, but it’s doubtful.
And how in Hell does a Nation fight a war while allowing it’s borders to leak like a sieve?!? And then panders to the source of more criminals, misfits and potential terrorists (Mexico) by seeking to validate and legitimize such illegals who have made it inside our borders? And then sanctions the legal lynching of our own border patrol agents? (Hello, Jorge? Scooter got a well-deserved commutation, how about Ramos and Compean? You gonna invite ‘em to Crawford on a furlough from prison after your ass goes home next year?)
The tragedy of the past eight years is that America ended up with the lesser of three buffoons, Al Gore or John F’in Kerry would absolutely have been disasters for this Nation, we might not even exist now if those idiots had been elected, but the default of George W. Bush only prolonged the inevitable, which is going to be a geopolitical disaster of unparalleled magnitude for the United States, all because our 43rd President decided to start coasting his way to Legacyville instead of running full throttle, balls to the wall for the remainder of his time in office, exactly as the American people deserved.
Did Bush do some good aside from the War on Terror? Sure, tax cuts, John Roberts, Sam Alito, all good developments, but the fact is, Bush wasn’t ready for the presidency in 2000 and we do ourselves no service by pretending he was.
George W. Bush would have been a far better Vice President for President Dick Cheney.
Fair enough...clearly, some on this thread thought you were just a “knee-jerk Bush basher”, but I think your reasons are well thought out. I don’t necessarily agree with all of them - but I do agree with a lot of them. Thanks for explaining.
You’re more than welcome, and personally just between you and me, it’s my view that there are more than a few posters on this thread that go into automatic BushBot mode because their minds can’t handle the concept that our loyalty as conservatives is not to one man or one party, it is to the United States Constitution, and I don’t care if Ronald Wilson Reagan himself were to arise from the grave and tell me that I should cut President Jorge some slack, I would remind the Gipper that Jorge has failed to live up to his Oath of Office, has p*ssed all over the Constitution, and that in a perfect world the sumb*tch ought to be impeached. And I speak as one who voted for GWB not once, but twice, and that was because of what the alternatives were, Gore and John F’in Traitor.
I’m hoping that those who worship at the altar of Bush will one day pull their heads out of their asses and get a whiff of the difference between mindless and ill-placed loyalty, and the loyalty we *should* have to the Constitution.
[Sit down you Ron Paulists out there, that doesn’t mean we embrace what your boy stands for, far from it.]
When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps the loudest is the one that got hit.
You sure are yelping the loudest.
“and you can shove your pink T-shirt all the way up to your lower intestine.”
It’s not my t-shirt. You’re the one wearing it.
And, I might say, it goes well with your pink tu-tu.
Did you get it at COSTCO? (since you seem to know what is on sale there).
ESAD. You’re a waste of bandwidth.
I see you have reached the limit of your intelligence.
Didn’t take long.
Any casual review of this thread will show that I have posted far more substantial posts, with infinitely more detail and information than your puerile and juvenile yammering.
I’ll run circles around you any day punk.
Yes.
You have attacked other posters for no reason other than you disagree with what they said.
Personal attacks, aplenty.
Viable information, not so much. (for instance, where is your ‘info’ supporting or denying that Saddam transferred WMDs to Syria?)
You have your own opinion on President Bush and his administration’s accomplishments. I understand that.
But, WHY did you have to attack another poster (Jennys Cool) who simply supports their PRESIDENT?
Go back and read Jenny’s comments and then ask who was attacking other posters. You need to work on those blinders you’re wearing.

“Spoken like a true BushBot. You have no idea of what the intel background is for any given Freeper, nor are you qualified to make such a determination if you did.”

YOU convicted yourself. Not her, not me.
If you KNOW more than the President of the United States about the intelligence situation in Iraq, Iran, and the Middle East in general, then please.... speak up.
You continue to make it worse for yourself. Keep going.
“...I cant believe the idiots in this country who believe they know everything with probably 1/1000th of the actual intel. One or two of them are right now pontificating on a barstool near you, or posting on Free Republic.”
- - - That wasn’t an attack, that was telling the truth. - - -
Ok, let’s play:
I said Bush lost his balls a long time ago. That is a fact.
Dispute it.
I said that Jenny was acting like a true BushBot and that she wasn’t qualified to pass judgment on the intel background of any Freeper. I haven’t passed judgment on the intel background of anyone, I’ve stated facts. Some people apparently don’t like that. I say too damn bad.
What Jenny had to say in her kneejerk defense of President Jorge was an insult to any Freeper who stays up on intelligence matters, and is certainly more informed than Jenny’s imaginary barstool pontificator. Her motivation was to defend Bush at any cost. My motivation is to point out how useless such gestures are.
YOU are the one who got their panties in a wad (since you seem to have a fixation about panties, pink ones) and came running to Jenny’s defense since apparently she isn’t capable of responding herself. You didn’t even have a dog in this fight, but you chose to inject yourself into it. I called you for what you are, a yammering puerile know-nothing.
I will put my own experience and years spent at NAVSEASYSCOM up against whatever background you (or Jenny) want to bring to this thread.
You have ‘assumed’ things that are not in evidence, in fact what you have done is to spin things in the manner that you wish to see them.
Once again, get back to me when you have something substantial and meaningful to say. I’ve provided plenty of info, a link to another FR thread on this subject, so you can either try educating and enlightening yourself, or you can keep on making requests for people to ‘prove’ things to you that you’re too lazy to find out on your own.
Your move.
You’ve got two posts (#47 and #48) to read over, time for dinner in my part of the universe.
Bon appetit’!
I’ll be looking forward to your responses.
That goes for you too Missy.
