Sonny Bono 'assassinated by hitmen' (claims PI)
Adelaid Now ^ | April 4, 2008

Posted on 04/05/2008 11:30:57 AM PDT by Clintonfatigued

SONNY Bono, former husband and singing partner of superstar Cher, was clubbed to death by hitmen on the orders of drug and weapons dealers, an ex-FBI agent claims.

Ted Gunderson, now a private investigator, has told the US Globe tabloid that Bono, who served as mayor of Palm Springs for four years, did not die after hitting a tree on a Nevada ski slope in January 1998 as everyone believed.

This has gotten a considerable amount of coverage in Australia. I’m not saying I believe it, but I haven’t seen any coverage of the claim in the news media here.

I don’t have absolute faith in wikipedia, but:

“Gunderson believes that Satanic cults engage in widespread child kidnapping for the purpose of child sexual abuse and ritual murder, and that these activities involve high-ranking government officials (e.g., he has named George H.W. Bush as having committed sex acts with children) and/or the Illuminati. He credits William Guy Carr’s Pawns in the Game with opening his eyes to the plans of the Illuminati.[3]

Gunderson also joined the search for missing child Johnny Gosch, who disappeared in 1982. In 1990, he excavated the site of the McMartin Preschool, claiming to uncover secret tunnels.

Following the Oklahoma City bombing, he promoted Michael Riconosciuto’s claims that the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was destroyed not by a truck bomb, but by a pineapple-sized “barometric bomb.”

Sonny Bono was a Member of the House of Representatives National Security Committee and was in position of some Foreign Study report from an Australian Director or Professor and the subject was the Albanian Mafia.

Not that that had anything to do with it.....

"This was an evil plot that was carried out to almost perfection by ruthless assassins," Mr Gunderson told the paper.

Sounds a little too James Bond to me. Well, one can never be certain, but I have to consider what's more likely...

A secret team of evil assassins invaded a ski resort to take down Sonny, or...

Sonny died as advertised, and an ex-FBI guy is trying to get his name in the press to jumpstart his new business.

Hey, it's risk free. The odds of digging Sonny up to check it out: zero.

This makes perfect sense. Because as everybody knows, Heavenly is just about the most secluded place in the Tahoe area. No chance that those guys, if they existed, might get caught in the act of mugging Sonny to death. No way. No, sirree.

And how exactly do you stage a convincing tree collision with a man who's already dead? Use him like a battering ram?

Ted Gunderson is a conspiracy theorist extraordinnaire.

He was the one that kept the McMartin preschool stories alive in California for many years,
even having the the site excavated claiming he uncovered secret tunnels.

I don't buy this at all.

I grew up on that mountain and can ski it in the dark. The area where he was killed is on the Nevada side of the mountain and it would take quite a masterful plan to follow him around, separate him from his companions and force him to ski into an area where he could be beaten without raising someone's attention.

The few places that are secluded enough probably would have not let the body be discovered for sometime.

One of the ski patrol members had accidently left his radio mike in the open position. By analyzing the sound using computer enhancement, a very telltale rectal explosion is heard milliseconds before he yells sh*t and all sound is cut off.

This investigation was performed by the very same lab that had announced the exact speed of Teddy’s car going off the bridge at Chappaquidick. It was exactly 87 mph. It was determined that was the speed necessary to knock off a pair of panties and have them land folded in the glove compartment of a car.

These CSI guys are good.

I live near Heavenly Valley, and this was big news around here, when it happened. There were witnesses.

The run where he died is called Olympic Downhill. It is at the north end, of the Nevada side, of the Heavenly Valley resort. Olympic Downhill is an intermediate run, that is generally well groomed, fairly open, and not very crowded.

Some skiers like to make a fast run there from time to time, because it is easy to go fast, and stay well away from other skiers, if it is fairly empty. In the 90s, the ski patrol would generally look the other way (not pull your ticket), if you were going fast, but doing it very safely (missing other skiers by 100 feet or so).

Sonny Bono was an expert skier, and witnesses said that he was going fast, in a tuck. The only unusual thing was that he stopped making steering adjustments just before his accident. He went straight off the run and head first into a tree. He was wearing a helmet, but hit far too hard to survive.

There was a lot of speculation, around here, at the time. The only theories that seemed to make any sense, were suicide, drugs, and stroke. I never heard what the coroner concluded, but I think he tested negative for drugs. I believe they also dismissed suicide. Normally a stroke would be detectable, but major brain trauma a few seconds after a minor stroke, might make it undectable.

Without further information, I tend to believe the stroke theory.

OK...was actually ready to at least consider the possibility of this rumor. . .until I read this wikipedia info.

Somehow putting GHW Bush's name in the same paragraph; much less same sentence with the very word 'satanic' and 'abuse' was the cold water I needed I guess, to snap out of it!

Any of us might 'feel like a nut'. . .but Ted IS one.

(Now, Ron Brown is another story. . .and of course, Vince Foster and a host of Clinton et als. . .)

I hadn't heard that, but it makes sense. I had some valium for an outpatient biopsy, a couple of weeks ago, and could see how it might have that result, if one were foolish enough to go skiing whith valium in the system.
