Meant Iran in above post, not Iraq.
I won't go that far, but she IS looking mighty fine in the more recent photo...
The N.O.W. gang and Ms. magazine could make a huge comeback if they tried to penetrate the Muslim Woman demographic.
What do you bet the father had been molesting the girl all along?
So, the mother is an educated woman. This just another example of what I believe: education does not necessarily change behaviors when it comes to faith and tradition. Liberals somehow hold that if the Muslims are educated, they'll behave as 'modern people' do: that is, they wouldn't have any prejudice against people of different background, they wouldn't harass women, etc. My observation points to a different direction.
There’s a fellow who was willing to shell out $5500 rather than 130 pounds...I think there are at least 8 others just like him.
I don’t buy this mom’s declarations of having no idea what’s up with her daughter, when the dad sexually molests 15 year olds and rages on. HELLO earth to mother!!! When are you (and millions like you) going to get honest with yourself and everyone else and admit that you know exactly what happened because you were there, and you didn’t stop it from happening or report it once it did. I’m really sick of this whole “I’m so mystified” act from mothers and that child molesters keep walking the planet even after they’re found out.
THE father of a runaway teenage maths prodigy faces a sex charge over a girl pupil aged 15, it emerged yesterday. Mathematician Farooq Yusof, 55, is accused of interfering with her during a lesson at his home. Seven years ago his maths genius daughter Sufiah then aged 15 - sparked a police hunt after vanishing from Oxford University. She refused to go home and was placed with foster parents in Dorset. Yusofs five kids achieved amazing maths results with his accelerated learning. He is due in court on November 30. Pals expect the dad of five, from Coventry, to fight the charges. The Sun- Published: 26 Nov 2007
The alleged assault happened on May 21 this year. The maximum sentence for sexual assault is 14 years in jail, and the minimum six months.
Sufiah's father and mother Halimahton, a scientist, gave up their jobs to educate their five children at home (isolation key?>.
It was in 1997 that his daughter Sufiah went to St Hilda's College, Oxford, at the age of 13. In 2000, Sufiah, then aged 15, fled the university the day after her third year exams.
She went to Bournemouth, where she worked as a waitress. After 12 days she was found by police in an internet cafe but she refused to return to her parents. She was taken into care by a foster family and revealed she had run away to escape the 'living hell' she said her father had created.
In a searing email sent to her parents' home opposite Warwick University in Coventry, she made clear how deep her estrangement was. She wrote: 'I've finally had enough of 15 years of physical and emotional abuse.'
She claimed her father, from Pakistan, became enraged if she failed to understand her lessons, and made her work in the cold to aid concentration.
Sufiah had thought Oxford would be her escape, but her father joined her there. She added that she never wanted to see her 'controlling and bullying' father again.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman confirmed that Farooq Bashir Khan, 50, has been charged sexual assault on a female aged 13 or over by touching her without consent.
Consensual sex age 13 acceptable? Back to what is "acceptable" Muslim male to child and women abuse/torture aforementioned above in comments. Even for the most highly educated a/k/a intellectuals as one poster above points out.
