Does he live off his daughters wealth and success?
It bleeds over from my work, where I was ‘counseled’ by a VP for using impolitic words and images in my email. The specific instance was during the 2000 election when there was this unusually good Photoshop of a ‘rectal-cranial inversion’ making the rounds, which I named “Al Gore in search of the lost clue.” Seems somebody took offense and complained to our corporate legal beagles. I voluntarily left a few months later - for a 30% raise. This particular VP, btw, though it was hilarious.
Let me guess...she endorses clothes for women who look like men?
The problem isn’t that she’s black, but that she isn’t pretty. Lots of white tennis players encounter the same problem.
“We dont know what his daughters believe. Jumping on a boycott of them doesnt seem right. For all we know, they may rebel against their idiot father and be good ole Conservatives”
Right on. Maybe Serena and Venus wish he would just shut up. After all we on FR do not judge Ronald Reagan by his son, Ron Jr.. I think this rant by Papa Williams is more a rant because his daughters are no longer at the top of tennis, and he thinks it reflects on him as a coach.
I’m with you on this. I’m not going to hold his daughters accountable for his vile words unless/until they say they are in agreement. He, however, is a bonafide piece of excrement.
I wonder what this ass has to say about the fact that the most popular tennis stadium in America was named after an African-American.
I feel SO much better now that Hussein Obama has brought us all together.
Thanks, BO!
He’s always been an idiot.
As for me, a "typical" white American, it would be more of a benefit to black Americans(I no longer refer to them as African-American)to dispense with this belated oppressed anger and live in the real world. This perpetual hate does nothing to improve race relations. The race baiter's know this and in their interest, they can not allow their followers to think otherwise....
It seems he directed his hatred against white women, he didn't put down Martina Navratilova.
Considering his statements I'd say that's true in his case at least.
Andy Roddick isn't the only tennis baller feeling all political these days. The "Sisters Sledge"—Venus and Serena Williams—threw their racquets in the ring and spoke out on the emergence of minorities, more specifically African-Americans, in tennis and in the U.S. at this week's Bangalore Open where they're playing singles and team up for doubles play. Eight-time Grand Slam champion Serena said, "Each year when I go on tour and at the U.S. Open, I see another black face. It just makes my heart smile." However, she emphasized the limited access to the sport for some saying, "Maybe sometime if you want to talk economics, then maybe it (tennis) might not be affordable to some black people. Traditionally you look at tennis, you see in the past, 50 years, maybe one black player there. Tennis is an expensive sport." Older sister Venus, who is widely recognized as a catalyst for getting women equal prize money at Wimbledon, commented on the current U.S. presidential race saying, "It is good that minorities are coming to the fore, (Barack) Obama is an example." But she was quick to point out she's "equally happy" for Hillary Clinton, though "it is tough for Afro-Americans in the US."
Pretty is the key. Navritilova felt dissed too, when she didn’t get as many endorsements as Evert.
LOLOL!!!
He would probably be far happier if his daughters weren't successful so he can claim it was the racist(sic) system who kept them down.
Yo Obama. - Don't Hate Me Bro!!
To their credit (even though I thoroughly despise their on court demeanor) Serena and Venus have kept out of it.
I just think he’s gone off the deep end.
I’m not saying his daughters never faced a racist person here or there while playing tennis, but to lump all whites in the same bucket is just ridiculous.
And to trash Evert like that is just way below the belt.
His daughters need to bash him for this in public.
