TRIPLE FLYBY ALERT: Space shuttle Endeavour has undocked from the International Space Station and the two spaceships are now orbiting Earth in tandem. This sets the stage for a series of rare *triple* flybys, which many sky watchers will be able to observe on Tuesday, March 25th. It's a triple because three spacecraft are involved. First to appear is the European Space Agency's Jules Verne cargo carrier flying 2000 kilometers ahead of the ISS-Endeavour combo. Jules Verne is about as bright as a 1st magnitude star. Four minutes later, and even brighter, the space shuttle and space station follow Jules Verne across the starry sky--a spectacular sight!

Thanks for posting.. I think I saw something once..
“These are your 16 satellite flybys for the next ten nights.”
That’s what popped up when I entered my zip code here.. http://spaceweather.com/flybys/ San Jose
I bet ya I don’t see one of them. :-}
OK,, , so look kind of left Orion and the Big Dipper .. got it.. hope the skies clear here,, lot of low lying clutter..
Thanks, and they are always on time. Right on the button.
Almost straight up at the peak. Hope the coastal fog doesn’t roll in on me.

West Texas just had them flyby. Really bright and fast.
I saw all three! Fantastic. ATV, then I saw a short flash (unrelated?) near Sirius, and then watched th iss and shuttle go over in tandem . I’ve never seen two run in tandem like that, so bright and so perfect@!
Thanks.
Saw two objects, moving SW to NE, maybe 60deg highest elevation, first one very bright , second one smaller, both going about same speed.
oh.. Austin Tx area.
No luck here, sky was clear but my cattracts cut so much light, saw several high altitude jets but thats all.
Thanks for the heads up and a great new url.
Just passed over San Antonio!
Just saw all three cross the sky here in East Texas. So cool!
Yeah, dangit, we missed it! But it was out over the ocean by the time it was up our way, and may have been below our sight horizon because there are a lot of trees to our east, blocking the way.
SirKit just said that we’ll have a better view tomorrow, because it will be higher in the sky. Sure hope it’s as clear tomorrow as it was last night and tonight!
Only got to see the ISS and the Shuttle. Still a jolly good show.
Hiya SuziQ! Long time no see. We just saw all three here at castle sparksalot. I shot a quick email to my hs buddies, but I don’t think many of them got to see the flyby. I’m glad we still have tomorrow.
tomorrow night @ 8:58 CDT.
Once time I saw a shuttle flying through the night sky a few years ago. It was very fascinating. It looked like a star, but larger and moving fast, vanishing above the horizon.
Saw it here in TN. I was SO hoping someone would ask me why I was standing outside looking up in the sky. I was going to say, waiting for the two UFO’s to come get me, they should be coming from that direction in about 2 minutes....
Kevin,
could you please put me on the Space Ping list
Thanks.

-—over Pahrump, NV right on time-—
Saw them all go overhead here in Arizona! It was a quick show indeed! They were moving at quite a clip.
17500 mph
The station was brighter then I have ever seen it before here in SoCal.
Howdy!! How are Spiderboy and Bittygirl? Did they get to see the train of space stuff? SirKit says we have some nice binoculars, so we’ll look at the ISS with them. Tonight was cloudy anyway, so it’s likely we couldn’t have seen anything, anyway. Tomorrow is supposed to be mostly clear, and cool, so we’re hoping that makes viewing better.
Thanks for the heads-up. We saw two of ‘em tonight in Central Calif. We’ve had clouds blowing in, but there was a break at fly-over time. A perfect view.
Saw them last along with Mrs. Lurkin and Ben Jr. Thank you for the heads up.
Air was clear. They passed seemingly right overhead. We’ve seen other passes over the years but this was far and away the absolute best sighting we’ve ever had.
Out where I am, the skies are pretty clear of light pollution and the ISS and Endeavour were truly a beacon in the night sky; brilliantly lit until they passed just a few degrees beyond zenith.
They both saw all three, and were very impressed. We had binoculars, but it was easier to just look up :-) They were bright and fast moving.
I completely forgot to look outside for them last night. I guess the shuttle landed without consequence since I have not heard a thing in the news. We may not have even been able to see, though, because yesterday and this morning were both cloudy.
We did get to see the two last night, after the shuttle had de-coupled. I’m not sure what time it landed, but it was apparently after dark, because the story I read mentioned that, but not the time. We saw the Jules Verne first, but didn’t know which was was which until we came back inside. The JV wasn’t really bright, but we saw it go almost directly overhead for about two minutes. A few minutes later, a much brighter object went over, again for a couple of minutes. That was the ISS. It was cool watching them!
