I know people have some issues with McCain (as do I - and I respect their opinions) but the little we know about Obama and the lot we know Clinton should make it easier to vote for Sen McCain.

We won the Iraq war in two weeks back in 2003. Where has Hillary been?

What we are doing now is reconstruction. One can argue that that job should be left to Arab League peacekeeping forces, but one cannot honestly argue that we are currently engaged in some sort of war that is unwinnable.

Can America afford to willingly lose a war that surrenders the military control of the Persian Gulf region that contains 70% of the World's known oil reserves to Iranian Islamist religious nutjobs who are actively seeking nuclear weapons and the ICBM's to deliver them to U.S. soil and who believe that the suicide-martyr destruction of a few million Americans will get them an Eternity in Paradise?

No.

A year and a half ago, Hillary claimed that the Surge that McCain was vigorously advocating would not work.

She was wrong then and she is wrong now.

Leave it to Hillary and the Democrats to appeal to American selfishness in the face of war. In the old days political leaders helped rally the country for mutual sacrifice against a common enemy. Now, in true form, Hillary is appealing to the liberal gimme, handout crowd and in effect saying, “If we spend all this money on the war there won’t be enough for me to hand out to you and our economy will suffer.

It's true. We can't win it. "Winning" in Iraq depends on whether or not the Iraqis can make proper use of the freedom we've given them.

But we can certainly lose the war, and that would be an utter disaster.

but one cannot honestly argue that we are currently engaged in some sort of war that is unwinnable.

OTOH, it is certainly possible for us to lose -- and that would be a very bad thing.

The D's are so focused on using issues like Iraq to tear down their political opponents, that they have completely failed to consider the likely consequences of their proposed policies. Pretty sad commentary.

We’ve WON THE WAR, it’s the stability of Iraq that we’re working on NOW. Gads these democRATS do not know history. It took us 10 years AFTER WWII to get rid of the werewolves, in Germany, who were stirring up trouble, just as alquaida is today. Even 20 years after WWII, we were finding a few Japanese soldiers who were didn’t know the war was over, on some of the So Pacific islands.

I wonder where she gets all that foreign policy experience to come to this conclusion.

I wonder how many National Security briefings she attended, and with what security clearance.

I wonder how she helped with difficult decisions like withdrawing troops from Somalia after the Battle of Mogadishu, or the decision when Sudan offered to hand over Bin Laden, or the decision to launch a handful of cruise missiles into Sudan and Afghanistan as a response to the bombing of two American embassies.

I wonder what she contributed to the response to incidents of terrorism such as Oklahoma City, the first World Trade Center attack, the Khobar Towers bombing, the Al Qaeda bombing of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the Al Qaeda attack on the USS Cole, or the Atlanta olympics.

I wonder what the decision to withdraw from Somalia taught her about the wisdom of retreating in the face of an enemy that the US has pubically committed itself to defeat and an ally that the US has publically committed itself to support?

Or what the cruise missile attacks in response to the 1998 Al Qaeda embassy bombings teach her about the effective use of military force?

What war??? You can't really even call this a "war" anymore. This is the recovery phase. The reconstruction era.

This stopped looking like a war several months ago.

Shut up, Hillary.
