Agence France Presse goes way overboard, lavishing praise on Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and mocking the US, in one of the most disgustingly biased mainstream media articles youll ever read: Ahmadinejad pokes Uncle Sam in eye on Iraq visit.
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad poked his finger in the eye of Uncle Sam on his visit to Iraq on Sunday, displaying his countrys regional influence in the face of 158,000 US soldiers in Iraq.
Top officials from the US-supported Iraqi government welcomed Ahmadinejad with hugs and kisses on a trip that opens a new phase between former enemies which fought a bitter war in the 1980s.
The televised lovefest was enough to give supporters of US President George W. Bush a seizure.
In 2002, Bush famously described Iraq then under Saddam Hussein Iran and North Korea as the axis of evil. One year later, US-led forces stormed Iraq and toppled Saddam.
Nearly five years, billions of dollars and 3,972 US dead later, American soldiers are holed up in fortified bases while the Islamic republics leader is welcomed with flowers in Baghdad.
Not all that surprising, from the French. But a new low, to be sure.
If we waterboarded Ahmadinejad, we’d have to use a fire hose.............
...and quoting Juan Cole, no less.
The biggest mistake journalists make is assuming that anyone on the outside respects their views....
Today Baghdad, tomorrow Paris... I feel very confidant beeing in a union with France.
They are Diplomats, Iran and Iraq used to be at war with each other, they really can’t stand each other I’m sure, but Diplomats put on the Smiling face and glad hand each other, no matter what.
As for the source, it’s French, what do you expect?

Cannot blame the Iraqi govt for trying to make nice with Iran. They are just preparing for the precipitous withdraw of all US forces if/when sHrillary or the Obamantion gets elected...
