He’s the nominee, and conservatives who disagree should have united behind one challenger as early as October 2007. It’s too late now!

Combine this one with Sen. Martinez’s pledge to help Democrats get elected in November.

Excuse me, but I think the Republican party has left us. IMHO, they think they’ve gotten strong enough so they don’t need us anymore. IMO, they never really liked us but couldn’t win without. Now, they think they can.

Personally, I believe that McCain got his tongue caught in front of his eye teeth and he momentarily couldn't see what he was saying. Or His mouth was a couple of steps ahead of his brain which was working on the next sentence he planned to say. NBD. I absolutely hate it when the campaigning gets to this level of "anything goes" when looking for "news". Maybe if the media would get off the campaigners, it would leave them able to tell us what they really plan for their Presidency if they win. Then we could maybe make a choice, though that probably doesn't work so well in this election. The media got us here and has left us with no candidate it sight. Politics as usual. BARF

Oh, and did I mention I plan to write in Duncan Hunter in November. I'm not a fan of McCain at all. I'll make my little statement and hope the country can survive any of the aspirants -- emphasis intended on the first syllable.

More telling than his conservative liberal comment is his expressed opinion in the same video that 527s need to be outlawed. That’s it Johnny. Show us your constitutional side.

HONEST?? If he’s a conservative, I have a bridge to sell. He’s been a liar his entire public life, and probably long before that. Any pro-war liberal who would stand before the cameras and tell the American people “I’m the only true conservative in this race” has some real mental disorder—or is simply a habitual liar, someone who lies so often, that he doesn’t know himself “when” he’s lying! It’s also called “delusional”.

I’ll tell ya, Blogger—conservatives were split 5 ways to sundown—or was it 6? Anyway, we had Tancredo, Hunter, Ron Paul (who took some conservative support away fr. Romney and the others), Thompson and Romney. As all but Romney dropped out, the dumb Christian born-agains and evangelicals sided up with Huckabee. A lot of ex-military and current military went with McCain. Thompson’s bowing out helped Romney, but still, the base was split 5-6 ways to sundown. Had conservatives coalesced behind Romney only, he would have won SC and would now be the nominee or close to it.

Remember the phrase “...divided we fall”? Well, conservatives are divided mor than I thought they would be. I don’t think they’ll ever get back together.

He also was a constitutional law professor at Chicago University. The same law school Antonin Scalia graduated from. As a graduate of Harvard Law School I have to believe he knows the Constitution. Whether he'll adhere to it is another matter but at least he might be compelled to give the Constitutional reasoning behind his policies. McCain probably thinks our constitution is what allows him to have a decent bowel movement in the morning.

I think it was Twain who said "it's not what people don't know that make them ignorant it's what they know that ain't so."

;;;;;;;;;
It’s academic really. There are only a few conservatives left in Washington now. Which really transcends even this election. America hangs in the balance -— a far longer range consequence of voter and citizen apathy, than what stage and color McCain has assumed today -— or that Obama is trying to convince the mindless leftist voters that he is, or is not —— our choices are a mess. Washington is broken and dysfunctional, and we are on the brink of runaway socialism and its destructive consequences.

“All the more reason for Conservatives to leave the GOP and unite by creating their own party.”

That would be incredibly stupid. If such a party ever got off the ground, all it would do is hand the entire government over to the Democrats — permanently.

Think about it this way. Conservatives could not even prevail in the Republican Party (this time around), so how in the world are they going to prevail against both the Democrats *and* Republicans?

Now, if only we could get the radical Leftists to splinter from the Democrats and form their own party! Unfortunately, even *they* are not *that* stupid.

I believe that this the reason the terrorists are not attacking at this time. They do not want to influence a Republican win. They will move their cadre and assets in position but probably not act until about mid ‘09.

Besides, what Mc Cain done to earn his “tough on teror” title? He wants to close Gitmo. He wants to give terrorists the same Constitutional Rights as American Citizens. Everytime it would hurt he stabbed President Bush in the back and undermined him. He slandered the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for telling the truth about John Kerry and praised the Democrat Party.

But regardless of how the election turns out, the leftists and Democrats will win.

They will be a bona fide Democrat and leftist or a bona fide leftist Democrat masquerading as a Republican elected.

People such as myself are screwed either way. I doesn’t matter which robber robs you. You are still robbed.

But as for as John Mc Cain goes, the Republican Party hierarchy ordained him as their nominee. They can elect him.

McCain hates 527s because he is a career politician. These guys love gerrymandered districts where political wins are guaranteed. And they detest term limits and “outsiders” (i.e. 527s) rocking the boat (i.e. telling the stories that the MSM refuses to).
