A national American-Islamic group is calling on local, state and national law enforcement authorities to investigate an alleged incident in which a Muslim woman was ejected from the Oakwood mall near Gretna for refusing a security guard's demand to remove her headscarf, known as a hijab.

"We're surprised and appalled this has taken place," said Lynn Walters, Oakwood's general manager. "Once we get all the facts, we certainly want to see what we would need to do."

Perhaps they should wait to get all the facts before being appalled as well. Just a thought.

I was appalled the other day watching the security guards at my county courthouse screening a man with an artificial leg. It was in full view of the public and they made him pull up his pants leg to where the amputation was. I was in line to file something so I know it took about 15 minutes. But, I’ve also been at this courthouse twice when there was a shooting prior to the security going into place and I’ve also seen these guys have to control meth heads. They are as courtious as they can be.

The article quotes "CAIR National Legal Counsel Nadhira Al-Khalili." It is ironic that a woman who works for a group that has dramatically exaggerated hate crimes in the past was in town within the last couple weeks to speak at Tulane, and now this "incident" happens.

The article leaves out one itsy bitsy detail. Was this just a head-covering, or a face-covering? If it was a head-covering only, then she must have done something to get ejected. If it was a face-covering, then what pisses me off is that she was even allowed to get far enough inside to BE ejected.

That is an excellent idea. If they have to bend to the Muzzies, then here in the US the KKK should have just as much right to wear the Klucker headdress. I am just as offended by a Muzzie headscarf/burka as a black would be offended by a Klucker outfit. Besides, I bet that the Muzzies could be prove to have killed more folks and be more of a terrorist organization than the Klan.
