ON THE MORNING OF THE ATTACKS on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, along with a million other readers of the New York Times including many who would never be able to read the paper again, I opened its pages to be confronted by a color photo showing a middle-aged couple holding hands and affecting a defiant look at the camera. The article was headlined in an irony that could not have been more poignant, "No Regrets For A Love Of Explosives." The couple pictured were Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, former leaders of the 1960s Weather Underground, Americas first terrorist cult. One of their bombing targets, as it happened, was the Pentagon.
"I dont regret setting bombs," Ayers was quoted in the opening line of the Times profile; "I feel we didnt do enough." In 1969, Ayers and his wife convened a "War Council" in Flint Michigan, whose purpose was to launch a military front inside the United States with the purpose of helping Third World revolutionaries conquer and destroy it. Taking charge of the podium, dressed in a high-heeled boots and a leather mini-skirt her signature uniform Dorhn incited the assembled radicals to join the war against "Amerikkka" and create chaos and destruction in the "belly of the beast."
Her voice rising to a fevered pitch, Dohrn raised three fingers in a "fork salute" to mass murderer Charles Manson whom she proposed as a symbol to her troops. Referring to the helpless victims of the Manson Family as the "Tate Eight" (the most famous was actress Sharon Tate) Dohrn shouted:
Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victims stomach! Wild!
Embarrassed today by this memory, but unable to expunge it from the record and unwilling to repudiate her terrorist deeds, Dorhn resorts to the lie direct. "It was a joke," she told the sympathetic Times reporter, Dinitia Smith; she was actually protesting Americas crimes. "We were mocking violence in America. Even in my most inflamed moment I never supported a racist mass murderer." In 1980, I taped interviews with thirty members of the Weather Underground who were present at the Flint War Council, including most of its leadership. Not one of them thought Dohrn was anything but deadly serious. Outrageous nihilism was the Weatherman political style. As soon as her tribute to Manson was completed, Dohrn was followed to the Flint platform by another Weather leader who ranted, "Were against everything thats good and decent in honky America. We will loot and burn and destroy. We are the incubation of your mothers nightmares."
It has long been a fashion among media sophisticates to ridicule the late J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI men who sought to protect Americans from the threats posed by people like Ayers and Dohrn in their "days of rage." But Hoovers description of Bernardine Dohrn as "La Pasionara of the lunatic left" is far more accurate than anything that can be found in the Times profile.
Instead of a critique of this malignant couple and their destructive resume, the Times portrait provides a soft-focus promotion for Ayers newly published Fugitive Days, a memoir notable for its dishonesty and its celebration of his malevolent exploits. Ayers text wallows in familiar Marxist incitements and the homicidal delusions of Sixties radicalism, including a loving reprint of an editorial from the old socialist magazine Alarm! Written by Albert Parsons, one of the Haymarket anarchists, whom the Weathermen idolized:
Dynamite! Of all the good stuff, that is the stuff! Stuff several pounds of this sublime stuff into an inch pipe plug up both ends, insert a cap with a fuse attached, place this in the immediate vicinity of a lot of rich loafers who live by the sweat of other peoples brows, and light the fuse. A most cheerful and gratifying result will follow. In giving dynamite to the downtrodden millions of the globe, science has done its best work.
In Fugitive Days, Ayers has written and the Times promoted a text that the bombers of the World Trade Center could have packed in their flight bags alongside the Koran, as they embarked on their sinister mission.
"Memory is a motherf*cker," Ayers warns his readers, in the illiterate style that made him an icon of the New Left. It is as close as he gets to acknowledging that his account leaves World Trade Center size holes in the story of his criminal past. Among them is its second half, how Weatherman imploded in the year other Americans were celebrating the bicentennial of their nation. It imploded because the devotion of the terrorists to the bibles of the cause Lenin, Stalin, Mao eventually led them into a series of brainwashing rituals and purges that decimated their ranks. None of this is remembered in Ayers book. Nor is the passage of their closest comrades into the ranks of the May 19th Communist Movement, which murdered three officers including the first black policeman on the Nyack force, during an infamous robbery of a Brinks armored car in 1981. Caveat emptor. The point of the omissions is to hide from others (and from Ayers himself) the real-world consequences of the anti-American ideologies, which took root in the Sixties and now flourish on college campuses across the country.
Today William Ayers is not merely an author favored by the New York Times, but a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His Lady Macbeth is not merely a lawyer, but a member of the American Bar Associations governing elite, as well as the director of Northwestern Universitys Children and Family Justice Center. These facts reflect a reality about the culture of facile defamation of America and ready appeasement of her mortal enemies, that confronts us as we struggle to deal with the terrorist attack.
Traitorous scum bump.
Man-oh-man, my America is really screwed up, and the majority of Americans don't know how badly.
H&C discussed this issue tonight. Sean said that he is going to have a segment on this tomorrow.
They were never trying to hide his middle-name. It was left out purposely as bait, and as a diversionary tactic, knowing full well that certain people would take the bait. John McCain isn't one of them.
It makes people who have made an issue of his middle-name look like bigots, and draws attention away from what his campaign really wants to hide: his far-left agenda.
This is What the Obama Campaign Doesn't Want People to See- Obama in His Own Words on Our Country's National Security
The only interest the Left has in education is in indoctrinating young minds. I think we’ve been remiss in failing to point out the danger of Marxist ideologues trying to create a generation of Marxist ideologues.
Mr. Ayres looks like a first-rate doofus in that photo. No wonder he’s a Distinguished Professor of Education.
Let me go ahead and give the liberal response. Reporter:"Did Obama meet with members of a group that set off bombs and killed innocent citizens?" Obama mouthpiece: "These mean spirited and racist attacks on Obama are turning America off."
Reporter:"Did Obama accept the endorsement of these groups?" Obama mouthpiece:"Asking these questions doesn't feed one child, or provide health care for one American who needs it and is just one paycheck away from losing his job."
Reporter:"Thank you for your insightful and thoughtful answers."
Bingo. All that adulation from young skulls full of mush, instead of working for a living.
Barak: No thank you.
Why are these ex-Weathermen related to Obama? In a nutshell, please.

In a nutshell: because they are all terrorists or terrorist enablers.
I did not realize Ayers’s father was head of Commonwealth Edison Detroit. Axelrod has worked for Exelon (the largest nuclear power plant operator). Obama helped Exelon with some cumbersome legislation. Meanwhile, over the years, Iraqi billionaire and Sadam Hussein supporter, Auchi, was funnelling money through Rezko to the Illinois political machine in attempts to get power plant contracts in Iraq. And, Rezko and Obama have been cozy politically and financially since 1990. One can only hope that Rezko does not take a plea in the criminal case.
Obama and Ayers have served on the Woods Foundation which has supported PLO-connected causes.
Obama is a hack and a security risk. But, then Hillary worked for the defense of the Black Panthers.
That’s not the worst of it, “Distinguished Professor of Education Bill Ayres” is not just another lefty academic. He is a demigod of trendy pedagogy. His books are required reading in ed schools nowadays:
“Teaching for Social Justice: A Democracy and Education Reader,” “A Simple Justice: The Challenge of Small Schools (Teaching for Social Justice Series),” “Teaching the Personal and Political (Teaching for Social Justice 11),” “Handbook of Social Justice in Education,” “Race Course Against White Supremacy: Race-ing Across America”...
Be afraid, all your public school teachers have been brainwashed by him.
No, gotta linkage?
AKA “Fabian/Gramscian Socialist Indoctrination for Idiots”
Oops...should have been “here you go”
You’re affirming my suspicion that the education establishment is now made up of leftist ___holes.
Morris said, she can't because her husband pardoned the FALN terrorist to help her win that NY senate seat. She also worked for the Black Panthers which does not help much.
Man-oh-man, my America is really screwed up, and the majority of Americans don't know how badly.
Check out this very similar story from 2005. It's also from David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.Com:
Hamilton College's Other Leftist Problem
By Thomas Ryan
FrontPageMagazine.com | February 3, 2005
Nancy Rabinowitz, who started teaching at Hamilton in 1978, is Hamilton College's professor of Comparative Literature and director of the campus' Kirkland Project for the Study of Gender, Society and Culture. In addition to the Ward Churchill invitation, Rabinowitz extended a job offer to domestic terrorist and last-minute Clinton pardon recipient Susan Rosenberg on behalf of the Kirkland Project.
However, Rabinowitz's ties to violent anti-Americanism go beyond mere emotional support; she has family ties to those who seek to overthow our government. Her father-in-law was renowned Communist proponent and lawyer Victor Rabinowitz, whose law firm -- Rabinowitz, Boudin, Standard, Krinsky and Lieberman -- has represented domestic terrorists, accused spies, and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Rabinowitz defended his partner Leonard Boudins daughter and Weather Underground member Kathy Boudin, who was personally involved with the murders of three policemen. Throughout the 1970s, the Weather Underground was responsible for the bombings of the National Guard offices in Washington, D.C.; the U.S. Capitol Building; the New York City Police Headquarters; and the Pentagon. (Susan Rosenberg belonged to a group closely associated with the Weathermen.)
Victor Rabinowitzs law firm served as the primary counsel to the National Emergency Civil Liberties Committee (NECLC), an organization that filled its ranks with members of the Communist Party, and sought to represent radicals individuals and groups seeking to destroy the U.S. Constitution. In the early 1960s, Rabinowitz was identified in Senate testimony as being a member of the Communist Party USA. His partner Leonard Boudins participation was exposed by a defense memorandum based on declassified summaries of secret FBI files on the Weather Underground that came to light in December 1980. The NECLCs Washington-based office also housed the law offices of the late National Lawyers Guild (NLG) attorneys David Rein and Joseph Forer, who were also associated with Rabinowitz law firm. Rein has been identified as a CPUSA member, while Forer served as co-counsel for the Communist Party with John Abt, a founding member of the NLG, who, in addition to serving on the CPUSA Political Committee, also directed a Soviet spy group in Washington (the 'Ware Group'). In 1997, the NECLC merged with the far-Left Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), and amended its clientele to include not only Communists, but also proponents of Islamic terrorism. (CCR's latest suit, filed in Germany, claims Donald Rumsfeld is a war criminal.) Nancy Rabinowitz has made it clear she shares affection for her father-in-law's son and his causes. ..."

Ward Churchill Caught On Tape Advocating Terrorism [vs Fellow Americans!]
Audio link at Michell Malkin's website (included below)
Question from audience:
You mentioned a little bit ago, "Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago," that's my question.
Churchill: I'm gonna repeat that, tell me if I got that right: Why shouldn't we do something and how do you you move so they don't see you coming.
As to the first part, not a reason in the world that I could see. I can't find a single reason that you shouldn't in a principled waythere may be some practical considerations, such as do you know how (laughter from audience)
you know, often these things are processes. It's not just an impulse. And certainly it's not just an event.
And the simple answer, although it probably should be more complicated, but I'm not being flip and giving the simple answer, is:
You carry the weapon. That's how they don't see it coming. You're the one...
They talk about "color blind or blind to your color." You said it yourself.
You don't send the Black Liberation Army into Wall Street to conduct an action. You don't send the American Indian Movement into downtown Seattle to conduct an action.
Who do you send? You. Your beard shaved, your hair cut close, and wearing a banker's suit.
There's probably a whole lot more to it, you know that. But there's where you start. .."

A very plausible strategy, but only for a finite amount of time before his niqāb gets pulled.

Michelle Robinson Obama also worked as an aide for Mayor Daley.
Key players also include friends of Obama, among them a straight-talking veteran of Chicago Democratic circles, Valerie Jarrett, and a group of South Side professionals.
Valerie Jarrett got Michelle the job as an aide for Mayor Daley.
what an arse hole!
Machiavellian strategy
I’ve always liked http://www.weatherunderground.com, especially their Tropical Weather section. They issue updates on tropical systems in every part of the world, not just in the Atlantic and Western Pacific. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/
Don’t know why the heck they picked this name, but confident it has no connection to the terrorist group.
I can't answer "why", but I'll tell you how. Barack Obama served as a board of director on the same board in which the infamous revolutionary-communist/terrorist, William 'Bill' Ayers, also served...for three entire years! He also went to visit him and his equally nutty wife Bernardine Dohrn at their home. Obama was a leading left-wing activist in Chicago and so certainly knew who they were and what they stood for, and apparently still stand for today.
You know? you can get sued for malicious slander of a politician under the Sullivan decision. That means if you ,with intent, tie a politicion to a criminal act i.e. McCartism , you can get the high holy crap sued out of you and lose huge bucks.
As a conservative, I think this type of posting should be taken down to protect the integrity of the good people here that try to post meaningful comments and articles rather than malicious slander but as a poster , I would be hoping the lawyers did not supoena your ip.
David Axelrod is supposed to be a red-diaper baby. Does anyone know about his parents, names, affiliations, etc?
Red-diaper babies are infiltrating the news media and television production, among other areas of influence.
Time to learn who influenced their thinking.
Has he done any lobbyists?
Were you insinuating that John McCain had a sexual affair with a lobbyist? lol!
I missed that...thanks for the info.
Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left

This review is from: Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left (Hardcover) I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book. It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia. Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding. This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air. |
Spell his name correctly and maybe somebody will give credence to your views.
They are major figures in the Chicago intelligentsia. For Obama to win his seat in the Illinois Senate, he needed the endorsement from Bill and Bernadine.
Tom Ayers died last year. He was chairman of Commonwealth Edison and was a major figure with the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Cubs and Chicago just about anything from the 1960s to the 1990s. Bill is one of his five children.
Like Obama’s parents, they met through Communist meetings. Axelrod’s mother wrote for PM—a “liberal” paper. His parents divorced and his father committed suicide when David was 19.
You know what I don’t get? How come you never see Obama’s still living white grandmother? The one who raised him and put him into a good private school. We see and hear about the Kenyan grandmother who had no role in his rearing, but nothing about the woman who actually stepped in after his father abandoned him and his mother proved incapable. (She died when he was 13. He speaks little of her, too.)
Welcome to FRee Republic.
I believe the ozone layer is about to be depleted.
Perhaps you can inform the NYT's that their insinuations about McCain are also actionable.
The Weather Underground members were typically rich arrogant white kids who revolted from their family upbringings. Diana Oughton, the girlfriend of Ayers who was killed in the bomb making that went bad, was from a family that owned probably 1/2 the very rich farmland on the north side of the large county I grew up in in central Illinois. Very wealthy family - the land is still being managed by the Oughton Trust.

Please, he has Robert Malley working for him, for starters; Zbig just went to Syria... he’s advising O as well.
Go to Discover the Networks on Malley and read the articles.
Stephanie Power is no shrinking violet either.
I’ll send you some related linkage when I get back from work.
joebeth insinuated it himself in his 2/26/08 post.
Yet all I insinuated about Obama was that he must have known about William 'Bill' Ayers self-confessed revolutionary-communist terrorist background throughout his various dealings with him over the past so many years. As a prominent left-wing activist in Chicago, how could he not? And if he didn't, you would THINK (something liberals rarely do too well) that somewhere along the line SOMEONE would have mentioned it to him. There have been several documentaries about the group as well. I only went so far as to say he and Obama were 'associates', which of course they were/are?.
Here is what Ben Smith wrote of the relationship in his Politico article:
The New Republic's Noam Scheiber wrote that he's "uncomfortable" with my piece yesterday on Obama and Bill Ayers, a reaction he's entitled to. He's a thoughtful guy, and his argument is worth a read. But I think he basically misunderstands some of the facts in what was, at root, a reported piece that brought a new fact to the table, not an argument about what the relationship should mean.
First, he writes that calling them friends, even casual friends, "overstates" the relationship. Neither he nor I know for sure the answer to this question, because the two men who could answer it most clearly, Ayers and Obama, so far refuse to talk about their relationship. But I didn't call them friends based on some conjecture. "I know they are friends," Dr. Quentin Young, a prominent Hyde Park physician who knows both, told me, adding that he thought, but wasn't sure, their relationship was connected to the Woods Fund, a charity on whose boards both sat at a time.
According to this article below, the pair served on the same board for at least three years (Obama was a DIRECTOR for 3 years).
JERUSALEM The board of a nonprofit organization on which Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a "catastrophe" and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.
The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.
In 2001, the Woods Fund, a Chicago-based nonprofit that describes itself as a group helping the disadvantaged, provided a $40,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network, or AAAN, for which Khalidi's wife, Mona, serves as president. The Fund provided a second grant to the AAAN for $35,000 in 2002.
Obama was a director of the Woods Fund board from 1999 to Dec. 11, 2002, according to the Fund's website. According to tax filings, Obama received compensation of $6,000 per year for his service in 1999 and 2000.
Obama served on the Wood's Fund board alongside William C. Ayers, a member of the Weathermen terrorist group which sought to overthrow of the U.S. government and took responsibility for bombing the U.S. Capitol in 1971.
In any case, this person "joebeth" is a fraud. He's been pretending to be a conservative yet is an obvious Barack Obama supporter. Check out his postings since he joined FR on 2/24/08.
