A British woman who regularly visits prison inmates fell in love with one, and it almost got her killed, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports. The West Yorkshire woman, whose identity was not released, fell for a convicted rapist serving a life sentence and would visit him for several hours every few weeks. After the prisoner was released on parole to a hostel, he began spending weekends at her home and they eventually became engaged, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports. "For the first six months things went very well," the woman told a jury, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports. "He was very kind and very caring; I always found him to be like that when he was in prison." The woman told a jury that the relationship took a turn for the worse when the convicted criminal "started saying 'there's no such thing as God,' and then started praying to Satan." She went on to say that her fiancé would go "absolutely crazy," insisting that they were not having intercourse often enough. When she tried to end the relationship the man allegedly attacked her with a carving knife at her home, holding it to her throat, saying, "Well, this might make you change your mind," the Yorkshire Evening Post reports. The woman told a jury that after the man started cutting his own stomach she fled through the kitchen door and alerted neighbors, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.

“on leave”????????????????????????????????????
From PRISON!??????
The Navy would classify her as a friendly port.
That says it all!
This reminds me of the story where a mentally disturbed prisoner escaped via the prison laundry, and, in the process, raped two of the woman who worked there.
The Newspaper headline read...
"Nut Screws Washers and Bolts"
Note to self: Stop cutting my stomach with butcher knife, as it could turn my mate away from me.
ROTFLMAO!
“Note to self: If spouse begins to pray to Satan separate.”
Hide the carving knives first.
Bill Clinton got engaged?
There is a verse in the Bible about leading silly women out of their homes. Times have changed but people are still the same.
Deciding you are in love with, becoming engaged to, then inviting into your home a man who is a convicted rapist, well, that just takes a special kind of stupid!!
Puts a whole new take on the term “Desparate Housewifes” LOL.
Well, after all, it was only a “life sentence.”
“Deciding you are in love with, becoming engaged to, then inviting into your home a man who is a convicted rapist, well, that just takes a special kind of stupid!!”
I’ve noticed that some women are drawn to what they see as “fix’r up” projects, figuring that they can change a man from a cold-blooded killer to a soft-hearted human being. I noticed that one of the premises of Unforgiven was of Clint Eastwood’s character (William Munny) being reformed from killer to benign farmer by his late wife. Still didn’t work, evidently.
Men expect women not to change, but they do.
Women expect men to change, but they often times don’t.
She got bit by this particular serpent. Will she go back to handle another snake? Probably
Just curious: if you don’t believe there is a God, how can you believe that Satan exists?
This reminds me of a newspaper headline after a clairvoyant midget escaped from prison:
Small medium at large.
FYI: Wiccan's believe just the opposite, btw: God exists but Satan does not.
“A British woman who regularly visits prison inmates fell in love with one, and it almost got her killed”
Well....yeah...!
Bill Clinton was in prison in Britain?
What did she expect from a rapist?
ping
Gee, who could have seen that one coming?
Wow - there’s something for everyone in this story.
“God exists but Satan does not.”
Even so, satanity still exists.
Ah, but the plot thickens.

The rapist is calling HER the insatiable sex maniac, though only when she’s been drinking. He even has, as a witness for the defense, one of her neighbors to testify as to her drinking into a blackout state.
I know Jerry Springer has a show over there. Is he the ringmaster for this court?
[pops popcorn and sits back for the show]
BTW, I’ve a friend who back in the wobbly young liberal days participated in a letter-writing prison pen pal program. Voluntary church program, I think. It got unnerving as the guy’s release date neared and he began talking about coming to visit her when he got out. I don’t recall how much her parents got involved when she finally mentioned it, but the convict never paid her a visit.
Here’s one for your WTF files!
WTF is right! People tend to see in others only what they expect to see in them...Of course, reality likes to slap these sorts in the face for a hard wakeup. $5 says she stays away from prisoners until the next one comes along.
