Indonesia issued a tsunami warning on Monday after a powerful quake struck off the western coast of Sumatra island.
The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.2 and had the "potential to cause a tsunami," Indonesia's geophysics agency said in a statement.
The one that caused the major tsunami last time was because the tectonic plate fell vertically with a “thud,” creating a wave by dropping a huge mass of the ocean, suddenly.
Another pretty big one to add to last weeks’ quake.
Must be more than 5 over magnatude 5 just lately. Stay way frm the beach. You have to wonder just what is happening with this plate.
PING!!
