More armed people would bring more impulsive shootings
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ^ | 2/21/08 | FREDERICK J. ROKASKY

Posted on 02/21/2008 8:59:18 AM PST by relictele

In 1979 I carried a gun. I had a permit to do so. It was a 9 mm Browning automatic with 14 rounds in a clip. The reason I had a weapon was because I handled large sums of money, and my boss suggested that it might be a good idea. I carried my 9 mm every time I went out...

(PS - it's the last letter on the page)

There you have it folks!

Guns are impulsive! They will jump off the table and into your hand then fire themselves!

This enlightened individual also wants a return to the black powder & lead ball days and he's not just talking about historical reenactments.

Thanks and good night - you can all go home now. Frederick Rokasky of Banksville PA has written the last words on the subject.

Sarcasm aside it saddens me that this kind of ignorance and naivete can still exist.

It's not ignorance or naivete. The left wants us disarmed because it's easier to force a disarmed populace to submit to tyranny. That's all this is about.

In 1979? This is code for "I am a jagoff who watched Serpico too many times."

Good taste in pistols; I’ll give him that much.

WoW

I’ve never seen a Browning automatic in 9mm that used “Clips”

I have fired a “semi-automatic” pistol produced by Browning that uses “magazines” however.

Wait until they join forces with the SUVs. Then nobody will be safe.

Guns are “impulsive”

I don’t believe this person ever carried.

Before the handgun permit was enacted in Alaska people were sure it would lead to all kinds of new statistics. However, it appears to have made no difference whatsoever. Snowmachines, though, are very, very dangerous.

Yeah. I mean everyone knows that CCW holders are sooooo impulsive. They would shoot you for just being rude.

Thats why they have a lower rate of law breaking than, say, cops.

This is why our country is doomed, because good people like us allow others to get away with abandoning personal responsibility. The irresponsible deserve to die...

Anyone that impulsive and prone to a “what-the-hell” aggression as he described should not be allowed to drive a car, either. Cars kill more people than guns, and I’m sure that aggressive and reckless driving is behind some of those fatalities.

Admittedly, this Weedhopper was armed, so who did *HE* shoot?

No one??? Well then he proves his ‘theory’ holds no water.

What a tool!

As usual a lefty can’t trust himself and used the gun to feel “powerful” so of course, everyone must be the same inadequate impulsive, weenie that he is.

OK, Fred, so if more armed people would bring more impulsive shootings, HOW MANY IMPULSIVE SHOOTINGS WERE YOU INVOLVED IN? How many times did you, on an impulse, whip out your gat and start poppin' a cap in someone's ass?

Guns are "impulsive" and deadly. That is the problem with modern firearms. People, usually under stress, don't have the time to think what they are doing.

Guess I better get counseling for all my firearms to get that 'impulsive' nature out of them.
