Don’t Meet Me in St. Louis, Part II (Islamic prayer tower under construction)
Republican Riot ^ | February 18, 2008 | Julia Gorin

Posted on 02/18/2008 6:58:58 PM PST by EveningStar

I mentioned last week that a local St. Louis radio station reported that a minaret (Islamic prayer tower) was being built — but that I was awaiting confirmation. Well now we have it from reader Zachary B., who has taken photos of it for us, as it’s fewer than six blocks from his house...

If custom is followed, loudspeakers on the tower will broadcast the call to prayer five times a day. Earplug sales should go up in the neighborhood. :)

I wonder where this is. I just read about a mini-celebration some former Kosovo residents had in St. Louis when Kosovo declared its independence. I think that was in south St. Louis. Could be wrong though.

WE are being invaded. One wise pastor once told me, “If we don’t take the Gospel to them they will come to us”. It’s happened. If we don’t get serious America will go the way of France and England.

I would say that all the church bells should go off at the same time and all churches should put outside speakers up and play Gospel Music.

Lets indcotrinate them to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Lets also open a pork chop house across the street with st louis pork ribs.

Hey, when they started the call to prayer in Hamtramck MI, I was told that it’s the same as church bells ringing the hour. I kid you not.

Good Lord.

From the pictures, it looks like that is on south Kingshighway, a few blocks south of Chippewa. About 5 miles from my house.

As for “Little Bosnia”, they are a bit more scattered over the years, but the center of the Bosnian immigration in St Louis was to a part of town known as Bevo. By the way, the famous Bevo Mill restaurant was built for the Busch family as a place to eat when they left the brewery to go to their home near Grant’s Farm.

The area is still very Bosnian, and more than a little run down, but then again, it was pretty much like that before they got there.

So how is it with Hamtramck these days? Do you happen to know? I’ve considered making a side trip through the area, timed to hear the call to prayer, just to see how loud it is. ( I figured out the location with Google Maps. ) I assume it’s still being played!

The ones I have seen don’t really strike me as being too religious. Actually, they seem more European in their dress.

One other thing. They sure make a mess of their cars with decals and chrome emblems of all sorts.

Do the workers in the nuclear plants in Iran drop everything five times a day so they can wash their feet, get out their prayer rugs, face Mecca and pray?

“The ones I have seen don’t really strike me as being too religious. Actually, they seem more European in their dress.”

I agree with that assessment. A key factor is that the women appear to be rather autonomous.

I don’t think we will have too much problem with MOST of our St. Louis central European muslims fully assimilating as Americans, eventually. A generation or two will help, as it does with all immigrants, but these people are not jihadists.

Spouse and I are products of Hamtramck. The changes in 50 years are an abomination. If you do visit, stay away from the south end. That’s controlled by the Albanian Muslim Mafia. It’s the roughest part of town. The rest of the city is run by the usual mish mash of Arabic Terrorists.

What a wonderful idea. You'd need to be prepared to defend the place against all sorts of attacks, maybe up to and including homicide bombers. But that might be half the fun.

I’m suggesting that we got here by letting go of our republic. The citizen run govt. of our founding fathers is long gone. It is not too late however to do something. All politics is local. The majority in St. Louis needs to exert any power it has left. Organize. Strategize. Take action. The US Constitution guarantees domestic tranquility. How in Heaven’s name can the cacophony of a screaming Islamic banshee allow for domestic tranquility? The tyranny of the minority has been our undoing. If they succeed, it will be the fault of the majority DOING NOTHING.

Well, I KNOW that! I want to know how LOUD is it? I did read an item in my internet gleanings written by some Kumbaya type who rhapsodized in ecumenical bliss about sitting in church ( there's a Catholic church just up the street, ) and hearing the call to prayer "wafting on the breeze" during the church service. I was thinking, "Yeah, I'll bet."

All those dress codes and styles are really Arabic, and the further an Islamic community is from the Land of the Prophet, the less they adhered to.

Doesn't mean they aren't Muslims, and don't believe that all non-Muslims should have Dhmini status or be dead.

Check this neighborhood out The Mosque is in the northwest corner of the "Neighborhood". Which in turn is about 5 miles or so from the main gate of the largest military base in the free world., with a Corps and two full divisions.

These Balkan Muslims were all forcible converts to Mohammedanism.
Their far distant ancestors were Christian and hopefully these Muslims will leave the Mo' cult and revert to their forefather's Christianity or become atheist

MAN that thing is ugly! It makes the eeeeevil cell towers look attractive by comparison. And the site says prayers will be “broadcast” from it. How on earth is that legal, when we cannot even utter “Christmas” in a lot of places? A lot of us need to stop wimping out and cry foul!! This is ridiculous! It not like it’s NY or Boston even, this in MO!

Sheesh, everyone who is not islamic will have to move away.

No Christian family will want to live within earshot of this monstrosity, so homes will only sell to Muslims. That is why they do this in the first place. This is like the U.S. planting its flag on Iwo Jima. This is Islam planting its flag on this area to say "this is ours".
