Yeah....that adds even more "credibility" to my earlier comment...."bizarro"
Have you seen this yet? After reading (short) article...read post #78.
Something stinks.
The angle in the Google Earth view of the building is from the north, so you can only see the north side of the building. The south side of the building (the area where the picture was taken) is obscured by the building itself. You can see the south side in a Yahoo Maps satellite view, although you can’t zoom in as much and it’s a little dark.
Did she break a window? The windows of most large buildings don’t even open.
Really?
The real tragedy is that she only got a 9.2 from the Bulgarian Judge.
.....has anybody considered “the bounce” yet?.....
...Many of Lee's stories were featured prominently whenever Web users looked for news about the U.N. using the powerful Google News search engine, a vital way for media outlets both large and small to get their articles read. But beginning Feb. 13, Google News users could no longer find new stories from the Inner City Press.
"I've been covering almost U.N. stories, three to four a day, for two years, and for the last two years there's been no problem at all," Lee said. "Then that Friday, I received the e-mail. There's something a little skeezy here. I think that Google got involved with the U.N. on these Millennium goals and thought, this is the United Nations, if they tell you some small Web site is a thorn in their side and there's a credible reason you could remove them from your news service, you do it."...
The reaction to the de-listing, however temporary, has been furious. The non-profit Government Accountability Project lambasted the company, calling Inner City Press "the most effective and important media organization for UN whistleblowers."
un *spit*
Yeah....interesting how this woman, who dresses for work, decides to go for a dive shortly after she gets there...but lands in a place yards away from the building, which has no windows on the side of the building where she would have had to jump....and, it’s around the same time period where an anti-UN journalist, known to print whistle-blower information, is “removed” from google search engines....
Not that the journalist or this woman had any connection whatsoever.......but....something indeed is likely going on with the UN....(not that there isn’t always something going on there....but, wasn’t there just a meeting in Davos on January 23 - 27, 2008? Yes, I believe there was.)
Several dozen yards? To me, "several" has got to be more than two, so let's say three dozen yards... that's 108 feet, or about ten stories *laterally* in a 19-story fall. That woman may not have know where she was headed, but she was making darn good time.
No offense but the comparison is not between a long jumper and a, well, jumper like this. Any body of mass still has a horizonal component of velocity that keeps it going long after the person falls below their jump point.
Roughly speaking, think of how long it would take to fall that long, and multiply that by the horizontal part of the velocity of the jumper*.
*Dead cat bounce effect not factored
Lee should go back 3 or 4 years to see if the Medical Examiner every reported how the security guard died at the UN building.
.....there is always a "banked shot" off the lower floors.....
Maybe he should begin compiling a list of such events.....
I think she was de-fenestrated.
*snort* I posted that before I saw your post! GMTA, and all that. ;o)
