KENOSHA, Wis. (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton revealed something about herself on Saturday that she acknowledged might surprise many people: she knows how to hunt.
Campaigning ahead of Tuesday's Democratic nominating vote in Wisconsin, a state with a strong tradition of hunting and where many voters strongly support gun ownership rights, Clinton said she firmly backed the right to bear arms.
"You know, you may not believe it but I've actually gone hunting," Clinton, 60, said at a question-and-answer session with voters at a crammed bratwurst restaurant in Kenosha.
"My father taught me to shoot 100 years ago," she said jokingly.
The topic came up when one voter asked Clinton what she would do to prevent incidents such as the shooting spree at Northern Illinois University on Thursday in which a man entered a lecture hall and killed five students and himself.
Officials later said the man had shown erratic behavior after he stopped taking medication.
Clinton, a New York senator and former first lady, said steps should be taken to make sure those with criminal backgrounds or a history of mental illness did not get access to guns, though she did not offer specifics. But Clinton, who is hoping to put a stop to a streak of wins by rival Barack Obama, she said she would not take any steps that would infringe on the rights of "lawful gun owners."
"I think we've got to do two things simultaneously. We should be smart enough to figure this out -- protect the rights of lawful gun owners, whether it's hunting, collecting, target shooting, whatever the purpose is, it's a lawful right period," Clinton said. "But we've got to keep it out of the hands of criminals and terrorists and people who are mentally ill."
Later, a reporter who had followed her career for 2 1/2 years and was not aware of her hunting experience pressed Clinton on whether she had ever shot anything.
"Yes, Mike, I have," she told the reporter, Mike McAuliff of the New York Daily News. Clinton said she had shot a duck as well as "a lot of tin cans and a lot of targets and some skeet."

"You know, you may not believe it but I've actually gone hunting." Any time she starts a sentence with "you know," she's lying.
I told this to my pastor earlier this evening and he thought it was an interesting observation.
He can't stand Hillary either.

How will “lawful gun owners” be defined in a Hillary Clinton administration?
Those who wish to own a single muzzle loaded squirrel gun?

There’s no way she ever shot a duck. I sincerely doubt whether she’s ever shot a tin can.

When will we see the perfunctory plaid-coated out-door-sy candidate pacing back from the field with a few ducks (or some type of out-of-season game) carried in front of the breathless reporters?

If the reporter were smart he would have followed up with the questions:
What kind of duck did you shoot? (mallard, pintail, bluebill?)
What guage shotgun?
Where were you?
She's so full of excrement. She's a lib... they don't go near guns.

Recall during the first democrat debates - all were asked to raise their hand if they ever lived in a house with guns in it?
Everyone raised their hand except three people:
Hillary!
O’Bomber
Joni Edwards
Recall that Slick Willie kept an expensive shotgun he got as a gift - in the White House?

"Hillary Clinton revealed something about herself on Saturday that she acknowledged might surprise many people:"
Yes, I Shrillary Rodham Clinton, climbed Mt. Everest as a teenager, solo. You see, I was greatly inspired by the family lore that my mother had named me after Sir Edmund Hillary, 5 years before anyone outside of New Zealand had ever heard of the man, and so I simply had to go see first-hand what it was like to be one of the two great Hillarys of the world on the summit of the earth's highest peak. I reached the summit alone, without supplemental oxygen, wearing my NY Giants knit wool hat and my NY Yankees t-shirt beneath the expedition parka that helped shield me from the cold, in those days before global warming.... (soon people will be able to summit Everest in summer clothes because all the ice and snow is melting fast you know).
Anyway, I know it may come as a suprise to many people, and I never revealed it before because I don't like to boast (except when I remind people that I AM the world's smartest woman), but it is true that at the tender age of 15 I flew off to Nepal, alone, and scaled the world's highest peak solo. Thank you all for your understanding and gullibility, er, support!

I have a good friend that killed her first buck when she was eight. She is a registered Republican originally from Louisiana who is married to a pilot in the US Marine Corps. They were recently transferred to Virginia where her husband will be the copilot on the president’s helicopter, Marine I. Doesn't sound like Hillary would have much in common with her!
BTW, her husband's worst nightmare is that Hillary will be elected POTUS. Bill and Hillary's treatment of the US Marines who had to fly them around or serve WH duty is still a source of much angst in the Corps. The Clintons are despised by these men and their fellow Marines.

Slick Willie had a huge room in the WH filled with illegally received (and undeclared) expensive gifts - saxaphones; engrave collector firearms, art, rare books
Reliable inside sources say the Clintons swapped countefeited bronzes with WH originals worth up to 5-15 million each
