Bush Signals Support for McCain
By Peter Baker
President Bush plans to give an implicit endorsement of onetime rival John McCain's conservative bona fides tomorrow as the Arizona senator seeks to consolidate the party behind his candidacy.
In a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference in the morning, Bush plans to say that the nominee of the party will be a strong conservative, according to excerpts released by the White House tonight.

True conservatives don’t leave the border wide open to invasion. (See the U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Seciton 4.)
True conservatives don’t name a verified traitor like Juan “Reconquista” Hernandez as their “Hispanic Outreach Director.”

wow, our President is a clairvoyant too.
preserving , protecting and defending the Constitution has nothing to do with being a strong conservative in and of itself, however, it does have everything to do with honoring the oath one swears on Inauguration Day, imo.

Coming from a true conservative that both tried to erode the border and spent tax dollars like a wild drunken sailor just in port that is a mighty fine endorsement indeed.

What would you expect from the guy who called Islam a religion of peace?
Tell you what, I never much went in with that Skull & Bones stuff about Yalies sleeping in caskets over night and doing the Masonic unity dance for a world without borders, but when he starts calling John McCain a conservative, I'm beginning to think I'm hearing the sound of a man who has sold his soul.

This from the signer of McCain-Feingold, the advocate of NCLB, amnesty, Medicare part D, Harriet Miers, and the federal boondoggle in the aftermath of Katrina. Perhaps GWB should vouch for McCain’s credentials as stalwart defender of the welfare state?

I’ve begun to feel that Bush’s only real crime is being a terrible actor - all the other Skull and Crossbones/globalists/whatever they are kind of guys at least somehow try to cover their tracks. He just gets so mad when we don’t see things his way, he can’t even play the game.

This is the fix. In the CFR Bones room, they said it was the Clintons' turn, so they made sure they put up a club member who will lose for sure in the general election. John McCain gets a carrier named after him and he gets to walk around on deck like a real soldier who doesn't make deals with the Viet Cong to keep POW collaborater secrets sealed.
Everybody's happy. Right?
To: bshomoic
LOL - Birds of a feather or some such thing? Takes one to know one? So much comes to mind at seeing the headline.
The plain and simple fact is that GHWB, by dint of his inability to conduct even a semblance of a campaign and his naivete’ concerning the Dems, gave us Clinton I. Now, his son, W, by dint of his failure to adhere to the principles he espoused in gaining our support and trust, has set the stage for Clinton II. So this brings to mind another saying - “Like Father like son”

Amnesty for illegal aliens, now there’s a legacy to work for! What’s next, a mosque on every military base?
To: bshomoic
The only bright side is that George Bush has guaranteed that the family name Bush will never be considered for high office again. Ronald Reagan’s greatest mistake was his choice of running mate. I was warming up slightly to holding my nose and pulling the lever for McCain, but this story just negated all that.

The only bright side is that George Bush has guaranteed that the family name Bush will never be considered for high office again. How do you say 'wrong' in Spanish? This country is already overrun by illegals, and when the shamnesty bill goes thru, Bush's Hispanic nephew will run. The legacy continues.
