ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The police said the attack was a suicide bombing and said there may have been two suicide bombers.
The head of the Beersheba firefighting station told Israel Radio that at least three people were killed in the blast.”
Hmmm... this can’t be good for Barak and Daddy Olmert. They’re going to have to do something. If there’s a new wave of bombings I can see Israel having to reoccupy Gaza.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “(IsraelNN.com) Police fear that a second suicide bomber may be hiding in Dimona. At 10:30, a suicide bomber set off a blast at the old commercial center in Dimona and killed four people. It is not known if the bomber was among the dead, and initial reports indicated he was among three people critically wounded.
Police said there was no specific warning of an attack in the Negev delopement city, but Voice of Israel government radio reported there have been specific warnings of a terrorist attack in the Negev.”

The al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Fatah’s military wing, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestinian’s military wing, and the National Resistance Brigades have claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Dimona on Monday, Hizbullah’s television station al-Manar reported.
According to the report, the first suicide bomber was a Fatah member, while the second one was sent by the other two organizations. It was also reported that the two terrorists were residents of the Gaza Strip. (Roee Nahmias)

When I hear something like this, my first thought is: “I hope the U.S. gives these terrorists more of our tax money. And demands that Israel cut up the land and hand it over so Fatah will have an easier time lobbing rockets.”

A suicide bomber blew himself up in the southern Israeli town of Dimona on Monday, killing an Israeli woman, medical sources said. At least seven other people were injured in the attack.
Israeli reports said that there were two bombers, although only one managed to detonate his explosives belt; the other was shot in the head by an Israeli police officer before he could blow himself up.
A Fatah sources said the “Army of Palestine” wing of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades carried out the attack along with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Fatah sources were quoted as saying that 2008 would be a year of suicide attacks. A spokesman for the Al-Aqsa Brigades told AFP the bombers came from Gaza Strip, while a statement from the group said they had left for their mission from Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
However, the two bombers were identified as residents of the Gaza Strip. One of them was identified as Luay Laghwan. The other bomber was named as Musa Arafat, 23.
In Gaza, Hamas spokesman Ayman Taha said the attack was justified. He also rejected suggestions that the bombing would hurt Hamas’ chances of reopening the border with Egypt. “The suicide bombings were there before the closures and the resistance used every opportunity to make these glorious acts,” he said. “They show the Palestinians can respond to the enemy and their crimes.”
The Islamic Jihad hailed the attack as a blow against “Israeli occupation.”
Dimona is the site of Israel’s nuclear reactor. However, Israeli government officials dismissed the notion that the reactor was the suicide attackers’ target. The explosion took place in a shopping area about six miles from the reactor site.
According to the AP, Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel said, “the terror organizations have shown again who they are and what they are.” “Their goal was and continues to be to kill Israeli citizens in their homes and their schools and in their shopping centers,” he added. “Israel will continue to fight against this murderous terror.”

Wonder what the great "peacemaker" Abbas will have to say about this with one of his Fatah subgroups claiming responsibility.
Time and again, it's been amply demonstrated that Fatah and Hamas are equal culprits in terror against Israel and the West. Acting as if Abbas is a "peace partner" is based upon delusional thinking.

They just showed video of this on the BBC World News. The “other terrorist” was largely incapacitated by the blast of the first. WARNING, WHAT HAPPENED NEXT IS GRAPHIC. The second bomber was lying on his back on a sidewalk still trying to manipulate an explosive belt with his left arm. An Israeli security officer approaches, kneels with a pistol at a distance of about 20-25 feet, here the video freezes, but you hear shots. Later the Israeli security officer states to the camera he shot the “other terrorist” in the head five times. Obviously the other bomb never goes off.

OPINION:

Dimona is where their research reactor is. And I believe their bomb making facilities are. I'm sure this fact not lost on the pali terror-bombing murder squads. Perhaps they are testing the security of the town?
