That leaves the dogs.

You're bad.

Last night I heard the Silky Pony was heading to New Orleans (again) to make a public announcement about poverty, etc. New Orleans is the fateful location where, with shovel in hand, Edwards announced his candidacy.

I instinctively laughed but then I thought about it. He and McAmnesty do have a lot in common.

They’re both for amnesty
They’re both against tax cuts
They both hate conservatives
They both have been asked to be VP by the Dem nominee

Maybe he WILL endorse McAmnesty!

Well, these trial lawyers used to, still do, take on really high profile, ugly cases for no money to get in the papers and make a name for themselves, knowing that it will mean mucho mas dinero later on down the line. Edwards has managed to do that for himself in politics. Still though, has to be hard for him, dude has spent the last six years campaigning.

I believe this is also Hucklebee’s motivation. He was never going to be president, but now he’s a household name.

Interesting that the guy included a visa. That means he/she doesn't consider Mexico, Canada, or the like as a safe haven. Its more like Cuba, China, North Korea, VietNam is the destination.

DENVER — Democrat John Edwards is exiting the presidential race Wednesday, ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voter’s sympathies but never diverted his campaign, The Associated Press has learned.

The two-time White House candidate notified a close circle of senior advisers that he planned to make the announcement at a 1 p.m. EST event in New Orleans that had been billed as a speech on poverty, according to two of his advisers. The decision came after Edwards lost the four states to hold nominating contests so far to rivals who stole the spotlight from the beginning — Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.

The former North Carolina senator will not immediately endorse either candidate in what is now a two-person race for the Democratic nomination, said one adviser, who spoke on a condition of anonymity in advance of the announcement.

Edwards waged a spirited top-tier campaign against the two better-funded rivals, even as he dealt with the stunning blow of his wife’s recurring cancer diagnosis. In a dramatic news conference last March, the couple announced that the breast cancer that she thought Their decision sparked a debate about family duty and public service. But Elizabeth Edwards remained a forceful advocate for her husband, and she was often surrounded at campaign events by well-wishers and emotional survivors cheering her on.

Edwards planned to announce his campaign was ending with his wife and three children at his side. Then he planned to work with Habitat for Humanity at the volunteer-fueled rebuilding project Musicians’ Village, the adviser said.

I heard that John Ritter is going to play John Edwards in a TV bio pic coming out this Fall.

Oh wait, Ritter’s dead isn’t he?

Just like Edwards’ campaign. ;)
