US funds madrassas in Afghanistan

The US military is funding the construction of Islamic schools, or madrassas, in the east of Afghanistan in an attempt to stem the tide of young people going to radical religious schools in Pakistan.

Such schools spawned the Taliban movement, which harboured Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaeda leader behind the September 11 terror attacks on the US, before it was swept from power in 2001.

“We’re talking separate schools for boys and girls to develop the curriculum that’s within their governmental parameters of how they want [to develop] their people and their country, their vision and their way of life.”

Just super. How long do you think it will take for these schools to turn into "radical religious schools".

My tax money can't go to a school here in the U.S. that dares to want to teach American children that there is a supreme being, yet my tax money can go to fund madrassas so muslims can teach their children "their vision and their way of life.” I saw "their vision" on Sept 11, 2001 and I don't want to fund it.

These schools pump out the radicals in Pakistan, who troop everywhere else for insurgencies and suicide bombings. That orphaned Taliban militants' children get this aggressive schooling in the Koran can only mean decades, if not centuries, of world terror.

It's bad enough that Saudi Arabia is funding mosques and these madrasahs in the West.

Boston is getting a monster mosque, and the Liberals there are subsidizing the land purchase!
