Yeah maybe, but if Mitt the Mormon gets the nod, they will shred him inside out over his mormonism. And there will be alot of us Social Conservatives that will help them. Plus, Mitt has flip flopped, there is no doubt.
I’ll take my chances with McCain or Romney. Besides I’m still voting for Huckabee in on Super Tuesday. I will not disguise my desire that he (Huckabee) will keep most of the social/moral conservatives together to broker a deal. Quite frankly, I would like to see him as VP to McCain. Yes, I know, 97% of freepers consider that to be a nightmare scenario. I think it will win, especially with the DEMs in their on internal war, which will bloody whoever comes out of their convention. They won’t be united anymore than the GOP.

Well, any Republican nominee is going to be taking fire from the Right and Left. If it’s McCain, I only hope he expends the time and effort to firm up support within the party. There’s a certain amount of fracturing within both parties, so the election will probably hinge on getting the party faithful to the polls in November. For that to happen, McCain or Romney have quite a bit of suspicion to overcome, and can’t just rely on “I’m not the Democrat” to get Republicans motivated.
