I don’t care what he says tonight or what anybody says about him.

Without getting complicated in relating what I liked or didn’t like about the last 8 years, I have only one thing to say to President Bush ....

.....THANK YOU MR. PRESIDENT and God Bless.

Had we had Kerry or Gore for the last 8 years, the Republican Party might have actually been sticking to their conservative principles a bit more. Whenever they're out of power they always stick to their principles more strongly and people talk about REAL issues. Whenever they're in power they abandon and run away from their conservative principles like they were the bubonic plague.

In some ways, the conservative movement would be stronger right now if we had had to suffer through Gore or Kerry. As it is, because our loss of freedoms and conservatism are being perpetrated on us by "our guy", we meander about when it comes to principles---casting our lots with whatever will keep the party in power.

I agree. Some of the critical comments about the President I see on FreeRepublic make me sick. A lot of conservatives need to grow up and learn how to lead and how to win elections.

I just got home from bible study and am watching the address on my DVR.

Say what you will about Bush, every time I see that man I just get an overwhelming sense of security. He has not been perfect but, he has done a stellar job in the WOT. I will truly miss him and could not help but get a true sense of fear and dread every time the camera panned on Hillary or Obama.
I think America will get that same sense and will nominate the Republican candidate, even if it is McCain. The alternatives are just unthinkable!

Yes...yes, much better than Gore or Kerry...

...But socialist FDR did so much more after 12/07/41. Bush had his chance to close borders, deport or put in camps Alien Muslims and take out the Muslim centers that bred the hijackers. He could have and should have gotten drilling in ANWR, the Gulf and had refineries built. His whole compassionate conservatism thing was just so much moderate liberal pap. His Globalist strategy is un-conservative and like his father he gave in way too much.

Right. I will celebrate his massive social spending and his do nothing attitude about the borders. He spent more than Kerry or anyone else ever would have. He did exactly what Kerry or any dimocrat would have done about the borders, nothing. Yup, I celebrate all of that. Yipppiiieeee.

I vote the Republic of Texas deny George Bush reentry into this great state.

GWB and his daddy were born and raised in the northeast and have a northeastern liberal mentality that does not mate well with Texas.

George Bush, I know many Texans....you sir, are no Texan.
