This is the fifth in a six-part series detailing the risks to American national security if Barack Obama (or Hillary Clinton) should ever choose to let Richard Clarke back into government. Clarke is currently one of Obama’s top national security advisors.
Half way into his 2004 bestseller, Against All Enemies, former Clinton counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke makes an oddly gratuitous claim.
Clarke insists that as a natural skeptic, “always intrigued by the possibility of the unlikely explanation,” he has pushed his fellow analysts to examine all angles in a given case, even those that seemed improbable.
As proof of his open-mindedness, Clarke observes with a straight face, “We had always looked for Iraqi involvement in the World Trade Center attack of 1993.”
As readers of either his book or this series can attest, Clarke did no such thing. Indeed, given the evidence, one would suspect that he was tasked with discrediting all inquiry into Iraqi involvement in the 1993 bombing.

Clarke is one of Obama’s national security advisors? Based on what, Clarke’s TV airtime? That’s like President Grant putting George McClellan in charge of the Army.
I didn’t know Clarke was involved with the decisions made about the TWA 800 shoot down by a missile - turning it into an explosion in the center fuel tank stupidest theory in the world effort. And now he is advising Obama? Figures.
Clarke is a liar. He is NOT a friend of this country.
How history would have been different (no 911???) had the truth about TWA 800’s shoot down been “allowed” to be made known.
Clinton knew that such a shoot down, if revealed, would DOOM his re-election in 96 because Americans would see (if it had been done by an enemy missile) as an attack brought on by Clinton’s own lack of strong reaction to other terrorist attacks during his earlier years in “power”.
TWA 800 was brought down by a missile.
Who fired the missile is the only mystery.
Clinton’s and Clarke’s teacheries are no mystery at all.
Clarke as NSA and Edwards as Attorney General.
This is the far left “We hate America” group. They want us to be the Soviet Union. I have NEVER understood the desire to be like the USSR or China.
Watched a couple of minutes of Bill Maher this morning. Listening to him and Rickard Belzer criticize the proposed tax rebate and Romney. Guys - I WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY THAT I EARNED THE WAY I WANT TO! NOT WHAT SOME IDIOT BUREAUCRAT WANTS!!!! They just don’t get it. What’s mine ... is their’s!!!!
Ugh - and who would Clinton have in those positions?
Either way - if either one of them is “elected” - our national security will once again become “shields down” - come on in, we’ll never fight ya....just leave me in power...you can take everything else....
Of course - LIBERALS are deranged in their thinking re: taxes.
Simple cure for our “economic” woes:
across the board income tax cuts - people and businesses - federal and state
across the board sales tax cuts
across the board elimination of capital gains taxes
reduction in property taxes in every locale
reduction in the strangling regulations that are killing business after business
and watch the economy soar....
We are killing our own once golden goose - but it’s been going on for so long in so many areas of “government” —— those in positions of being the “takers” - have gone mad with power.
They will, eventually, destroy this nation.
“Who would Clinton have in those positions?”
Sandy Bergler - who else! He is already advising Mrs. Clinton. His security clearance will be back in force once she’s in the Oval Office.
I want to know what we peasants are going to do about any of this????
Pray. God alone can overcome their evil. And He will do so as we pray and trust in Him. I am serious. He will motivate the right people to do the right things and move the “evil ones” to serve His purposes as well.
