It’s more challenging these days, Senator. Since John Street’s tenure, you’ll have to dodge bullets and be mindful of dirty needles on the steps.

"Who is Alice Cooper endorsing and what for what issues?"

Don't care about that but, since you bring him up, did you know Alice is now a born again evangelical Christian? He also DJ's a national syndicated rock show on radio and it's pretty good. He's an interesting guy.

Here’s an interesting article. Do you remember Richard Poe?

http://www.freerepublic.com/~richardpoe/

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/moonbatcentral/2005/03/john-mccain-gets-soros-cash.html

Thursday, March 10, 2005
John McCain Gets Soros Cash

Senator John McCain’s Reform Institute has suffered some bad press recently due to its involvement in an influence-peddling scandal with Cablevision. As usual, however, mainstream media have failed to go to the root of the matter.

Founded on June 26, 2001, McCain’s Reform Institute for Campaign and Election Issues has long served as a nerve center for the so-called “campaign finance reform” movement – a movement which has done nothing to clean up campaign finance, but has done a great deal to empower federal judges and government bureaucrats to regulate political speech, in defiance of the Bill of Rights.

Now here’s the kicker. The list of donors published on the Reform Institute’s Web site reads like a veritable Who’s Who of radical, leftwing foundations, including the Tides Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Proteus Fund and George Soros’ Open Society Institute (hat tip, Winfield Myers).

Not surprisingly, in view of the above associations, Arianna Huffington serves on the Reform Institute’s Advisory Board. Huffington has long acted as a front for George Soros’ “campaign finance reform” efforts. In 2000, she organized the so-called Shadow Conventions which provided John McCain with a bully pulpit to stump for his now-infamous McCain-Feingold Act. George Soros shouldered about one third of the cost of the Shadow Conventions.

Funny, but I always lose a little respect for a cartoonist who feels his audience can’t identify his pictures so they label people.

We have one guy on our local paper who actually labels the people in his drawings by hanging actual tags off the pictures.

I might be a little slow on things because I’m currently in England, but I still don’t get how McCain is even considered a Republican?! Between him and Ron Paultard I don’t know what’s happened to the Republicans?! Silly me, I said I liked Fred Thompson and I must have jinxed him because he dropped out, dammit! Do we need to tear a page out of the British National Party Handbook and start an “American National Party” minus the Holocaust denial? Contrary to what you may have heard, the BNPs mantra is basically “Britains to preserve Britain”. There are members who are of all different creeds and colours, and if you go to the BNP website, there are some posts from a “MuslimwhovotesBNP”, which they welcome. They’re not nearly as racist as the Socialist media makes them out to be, however I do have a problem with the Holocaust denial thing, which I think they’re trying to address...Sorry, I’m not being a cheerleader for them, but England is under attack and I think they’re the only way out! The “Conservative Tory” Party of England here makes our Lefties look downright Facist!
