RNC chairman provides numbers, strategy to defeat top Democrats

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Mike Duncan believes Republicans can beat either of the two top Democrats racing for their party’s nomination.

For Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.), Duncan says it comes down to trust. Sen. Barack Obama’s (Ill.) weakness, on the other hand, is his experience, according to Duncan.

Duncan continually brought up Clinton and Obama during a Wednesday morning breakfast with reporters sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor. Pointing to internal poll numbers, the RNC chairman repeatedly insisted that no matter who Republicans nominate, the Democratic candidate can be defeated in November.

“Meet the New Mike Duncan”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1738373/posts

Some background on him. But I can’t say that he has impressed me so far. In fact, I didn’t even know he was head of the RNC. I thought it was still Mel Martinez, but I just checked, and now I see that Mel resigned last October.

Well, good riddance. But the new head of the RNC has certainly kept a very low profile.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Mike Duncan

Duncan needs to step away from the crack pipe and wake up from his drug induced slumber.

He won't win jack by putting up RINOs/CINOs and alienating the base.

Yeah, right.

Good luck doing without millions from the Conservative base who won't vote for your RINOs anymore.

Duncan isn’t putting up anyone, not a RINO nor CINO.

We have these factors called...voters....and Mike Duncan can think whatever he wishes to think, at the end of the day, he has to work with what...voters...give him to work with.

It’s a smart play on his part saying that we can beat either Hilde or Barry, we can, “we” need a candidate who can rally people to him, we don’t have that yet.

Our party is in panic (despite the public facade). Money down and volunteers down due to party as whole being weak on illegal immigration, lack of fisal conservatism, etc. Lack of Indians but plenty of chiefs (county club flip flop candidates that have the no initial cash to launch campaigns but not the core to inspire a strong base).

So, the GOP will probably lose this election badly and just blame it on Bush (and go with the same RINO strategy in 2010 and 2012).

Forget that already. We all need to get over it. There is a universal divide between our "RINOs" and their "candidates." None of our RINOs are straight out America hating traitors, for a start.

So the RNC is bankrolling the current group of Candidates?

Paying out of pocket for Mitt, or Rudy or Huck?

They are all broke and have been broke for a long time.

Duncan could say he hated any one of them, and there would be nothing he could do because Hunter and Thompson were not the choices of the voters, his hands are tied.

In some ways, I think it would clarify things, Conservatives have gotten lazy, a Hillary wake up call may do the trick.

By the way, just yesterday Mr. Duncan was nice enough to send me a rather large fold out “Stop Hillary” sign for me to display on my property. Of course a monetary donation was expected in return. He thought I should donate to the GOP to stop Hillary, not because of the qualifications of the present lineup of RINO’s. I kept the sign.

Duncan is listening to Rove. Rove is no longer relevant and it is past his time.

Mr. Rove put the phone down and step off into the night. Your time is over. Your abilities have faded and you are now less useful than teats on a boar hog.

Rush is a Conservative not necessarily a Republican. He had quite a long monologue about it the other day. He may vote for Republicans but he takes offense at the label. I personally never did feel that way (I was a proud Republican)... my past posts will prove it...but I agree with Rush now.

Would be nice. But of the candidates left, it is wise to choose one whom can beat Hillary or Obama in the general election. I believe that Republican nominee to be Mitt Romney. Notice he made no mention of Mitt Romney, the one who is LESS of a RINO.

I would vote as well, but the “Silent majority” has gotten pretty comfy under GWB, perhaps they have forgotten what the 90’s were like even when we controlled the Congress and Slick Willy was CINC.

That and to be honest, the GOP no longer puts in the work either in Congressional Districts, one volunteer at a time, or up in DC, they still don’t really seem to understand what motivates “us”.

Boehner has at least begun to rebuild us.

It’s not the candidate... it’s not the man... it is what the candidate represents. I mean truly represents, believes in and practices it in his/her daily life. It is not about probabilities and percentages... it is not about putting “r”’s in office... it is about protecting, defending and growing America, by following tried and true Conservative methodology in shaping a limited but strong Federal government. It is ideology over personality... principle over probability... it is these things that motivates core Conservatives.

These are the guidelines by which Reagan lived and governed. Early in his career Reagan made some mistakes by trusting liberals... abortion legislation he signed into law while Governor of California is an example... and he learned early in his first administration that liberals could never be trusted. Tip O'Neil screwed him over by lying about promised spending cuts to offset new taxes Reagan signed in favor of. Reagan learned this important lesson about the honesty and integrity of liberals... but far too many in the Republican Party are blind to the liberalism that they embrace as Conservatism. They cannot see the forest for the trees.

So you don't think that the money that goes to the RNC has any purpose? That the people controlling that money don't have any influence? Sure the candidates have to raise money. Hell, the NFL requires money from the owners, why should the RNC be any different. But if you think they don't have any say, can't influence other movers and shakers in the media and elsewhere, you're not only delusional, but.. (do I really need to say it?)

Give me a break.

"...It could be your free “Stop Hillary” fold out poster..."

Yipppeeee!

Call me a puppet on a string, but...that is an easy button to push.

I drove through Concord, MA (Cradle of Liberty...PAH! What it has become...) this morning on my way to work. There were about 5-7 people with Hillary signs.

Women I expect. There are some women out there (umm...Gennifer Flowers for a stomach-turning example?) who would vote for Hillary because...she is a woman.

But there were three guys out there. What is that? I was completely flummoxed...how high up do you have to get snipped to hold a sign for Hillary?

That was just disturbing.

She will never, ever get MEN to vote for her. I am not talking about Rush Limbaugh’s “New Castrati”. I am talking about Normal Men.

Her crusty pantsuitness’s voice is like chalk on a board. It is the sound etched deep into the primordial areas of Man’s Brain.

It is the sound of a woman who is very, VERY angry at him.

Her voice is shrill...and resonates a perfect, exquisitely awful dissonance at certain frequencies.

Primordial Man first heard that sound when he dragged his filthy, muddy ass into that clean, dry cave and was lit into by Primordial Woman because he didn’t clean the swamp ooze off of his feet, or the Wooly Mammoth guts off of his malodorous fur skin.

That is the voice of Hillary Clinton. She tries to hide it. Oh, she tries sooooo hard. But no matter how hard she tries, there are times she opens that mouth and every man with that Primordial Man inside him, hears Her voice.

Of course, men with the Primordial woman inside them are just fine with her. They LIKE it.
