Illinois HB4259

Posted on 01/22/2008 8:31:21 AM PST by Papabear47

On or after 01/01/2011 residents of Illinois will if this bill passes be required to dispose of all non-coded bullets in their possession.Said persons will able to transfer non-coded bullets to an heir or to a resident of another state....All of this is supposed to prevent gun violence. This along with a ban on any device that may enable a pocket knife to be opened with one hand. These knives would have to be destroyed, turned over to law enforcement or taken out of state. The nanny state of Illinois is on it's way,all in the name of safety...Criminal minded people will not be required to comply as they are necessary to the furtherance of totalitarian control. They are the excuse.

No, a picture of the General Assembly would show asses, not sheep.

Or maybe it would be sheep, with a few asses in charge.

Does this law also make contraband of bullet-molds?

I really don’t feel sorry for the sheeple of illinois. They keep electing these idiots. This state has to be one of the most anti-gun states in the union.

Lets all keep this in mind if Illinois senator Barrack Hussein Obama or child of Illinois Hitlery Clinton become the Dumbocratic nominee.

Would Wild Bill Hickock even recognize his birth state?

Please don’t lump all of us Illinoisans together as sheeple. We have very much of an upstate/downstate thing going on. The Chicago area has such a huge pop. that what the rest of us think doesn’t count for much. I swear we need to split into two states.

I am a resident of Illinois who has never voted for a democrat. Am I a "sheeple"?

I think he meant anyone that votes for these idiots. You didn’t, so he wasn’t referring to you.

I am sure that all the gangmembers and other criminals will comply! It gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling that everyone that wants to harm my family is armed and I go to prison if I defend them with my Colt!

You are sheeple if you keep sitting by and letting it happen. Do you belong to any organizations (like the NRA or more importantly local Illinois organizations) that are trying to put a stop to it? Do you write your congressman/congresswoman?

I’m sure you’re going to claim that you are the most active person in Illinois trying to put a stop to that state’s endless gun grabbing so don’t bother responding to the above questions. Rather, consider them for your own edification. There are so many gun grabbing stories coming out of that state it makes me sick to hear about it any more. Personally, I would never live in that state. That would be the best thing you could probably do. Move...

You're pretty good with the insults and brainless comments according to your very recent posts:

Is this media propoganda or are there a lot of brain dead republicans out there in Michighan? I hope the former, because I’m afraid if it’s the latter.

If Fred can’t win Florida, we should be rooting for Guiliani. Lets start splitting this electoral pie up.

You guys in Idaho still believe in the militia. If you get anyone with a Hillary bumper sticker on their car move into the neighborhood, just send the militia over to have a talk with them.

You suggest that I just move? I expected a simplistic solution to a complex situation from someone who posts the drivel I have quoted above.

Well,

I see you have taken such an interest in me as to explore my past posts. Thanks for your interest and I’ll explain my posts.

The first one was not an insult to the good Republicans of Michighan. Some people like to call this hyperbole, look it up since you’re doing research. My point to the whole post in case you missed it is that there is media propoganda going on concerning the MSM labelling Michighan school voucher proponents supporters of Huckabee.

The second one concerns the fact that as a supporter of the only candidate who is conservative left in the race about to drop out, I would rather see a brokered convention. In case you didn’t know this, that means that the delegates pledged to their guy are now no longer pledged to him. They can vote for anyone they choose, including someone not even running. Someone who is conservative who could unite the party. Did I say this is going to happen? No, that was my wish when discussing Fred’s chances since they look very bleak at this point. It’s sort of the political Hail Mary pass at the end of the game.

The third post was a joke. Maybe you don’t get jokes too much Graybeard. It was in response to someone from Idaho who was making a joke about not moving to his state because he did not want to be infested with liberals moving in. Thanks for attempting to take this out of context.

My only response to you was not to simply move. That was my last response to you. You obviously have some reading comprehension issues. Please go back and read my other suggestions. The truth is, you probably have not done a darn thing to try to turn the anti 2A tide in your state and the truth probably hurts.

If the truth hurts that much, don’t lash out at me. Go get involved with my suggestions and do something about it!!

You seem to be advocating violence against people who support Hillary, intimidation at the very least, neither is acceptable in a free society.

Further you even contradict yourself with your opinions about felons owning guns:

The constitution (in the 5th and 14th amendments) allow for the provision of denying convicted felons civil liberties.

I agree, non violent crimes should have their 2A rights restored.

“You seem to be advocating violence against people who support Hillary, intimidation at the very least, neither is acceptable in a free society.”

There you go again, lying about what I said. You can’t even comprehend the explanation in my previous post. Then you go onto throw more lines out that I have posted in the past. You sure you’re not a Dumbocrat? You’re good at distorting the truth after all...

All of this is to distort what the subject really was. You obviously don’t want to talk about it. I originally posted about the sheeple of Illinois which you took offense to.

I explained what sheeple were. People who sit there and take it. Just not voting for the people who do it to you is not good enough. You have three choices:

1. Become sheeple
2. Get involved and try to stop the gun grabbers
3. Move

By your attempt at obfuscation you are showing me and everyone else on this board that you are in category 1. You have decided to sit and take it.

If you displayed the same dilligence in trying to stop your state’s gun grabbers as you do researching my past posts you might be able to move into group 2 some day.

Absolutely not....It is just arrogant and very ignorant people who would think so....We have to fight the corruption of Chitcago and Springfield not to mention a justice system that turns a blind eye on the vote fraud that takes place every election....Chitcago has a motto....Vote early, vote often and the left uses any tactic, Unconstitutional or not to pass the bill’s they want into law....And the entitlement class goes along so they may have their bowl of rice every day.

Someone needs to call out the authoritarian anarchists(*) for what they are. They believe in forcing everyone to live under their rules, replacing legitimate rule of law.

(*) I coined the term myself, but then googled it to find I'm not the first.

It would ban all forms of reloading, including the materials used to make or prepare such reloading. So I would guess bullet molds could be contraband.

By strict interpretation of the law, then so would be wheel weights, and shotgun pellets.

And do you think liberals really care what side-affects their legislation might cause? Of course not. They don’t care.

I have a friend who works at the Remington Arms Ammunition plant near here. He said that when California tried to force a similar law, the company had already discussed the concept and decided that complying with the law was essentially impossible. They produce literally MILLIONS of rounds of ammo EVERY DAY - and that is just the Arkansas plant.

The law is completely impractical (which I believe the liberals know). Thus it is a tacit ban on ammunition.
