If there is a next time and we don’t light up I hope we don’t read about it. I don’t see any benefit to even report on this incident.

That's pretty much what they did, although maybe not the fire control radar. Got kind of close for the main armament. Besides the "go fast boats" probably don't have radar detectors anyway, so they wouldn't know.
What bothers me about this incident is that it could start happening repeatedly with no incident, then there could be a USS Cole type incident.
This requires very careful consideration and all actions need to be on and stay on the table.

That needs to be the response if this ever happens again. It should be the respone every time.
