DES MOINES --- Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee defended his failure to read the National Intelligence Estimate on Iran in early December, joking in an interview Monday that President Bush didn't read intelligence reports for four years.
Huckabee came under fire in early December when, in response to a reporter's question about the Iran report, Huckabee said he wasn't aware of it. Huckabee's lack of familiarity with the with the National Intelligence Estimate --- a report that showed Iran had discontinued its nuclear program --- provided fuel for his critics who said he was a lightweight on foreign policy.

Not in this context, as a matter of fact neither bashes Bush with the regularity of Huck. I guess he is going for the Ron Paul vote now. I must say, this guys character is very flawed as a man, as a Republican and as a Christian.
I hope Fred has the sense to rip this fat boy to shreds.

Way to regurgitate the propaganda of our enemy. What a worthless snot gobbler. I wonder who’s been appointed as his designated Thought Boss? Do compromised POTUS candidates report to the local Thought Boss for their Party Approved Rhetoric updates? Or do they rate a personal Hive Mind attendant?

The dope from Hope shows his ignorance yet again. Huckabee has no clue about foreign policy. All he knows is raising taxes, releasing violent criminals and huge government subsidy programs for illegal aliens.

i don’t have a preference in candidates yet, but this huckabee really REALLY turns me off, for so many reasons.

Your sig line describes Huckabee best. I initially considered him until various statements, made by him, revealed him to be a bit shallow. Worse, too many of his positions on issues are just plain wrong and short sighted.
Then he added Ed Rollins to his his campaign and that really turned me off because Rollins is not what I consider a good campaign strategist.
Even if Huckabee wins in Iowa, I cannot see him gaining much support in fly over country.

I can’t believe he is even in contention at this point. I mean I can understand the initial infatuation some might have had, but after the past two weeks he has shown himself to be a buffoon. He needs to drop quickly so serious candidates can pick up his numbers.

Maybe, if Huckabee had been reading those NIE's, he would at least be able to find nations on a world map.

Huckabee foreign policy: He may not be able to find Afghanistan on a map, but he might find a crocheted afghan on the sofa.

Huckabee's, utter disregard for National Security is only over shadowed by his codescending attitude toward everyone.
If it was dem who mouthed off like this the threads would be a thousand post long.

I do not care about being classy but the Bible talks about how Christians should speak about their leaders.
I am sorry I hurt your delegate sensibilities. I will quote Jesus instead and call this guy what Jesus called the religious hypocrites of his day. Huck is a hypocrite and a snake.

I think it reflects a general dissatisfaction with the current candidates. All have plusses and minuses and conservatives are looking for another Ronald Reagan when there isn’t another one available.

Gheeez! Here we are as Republicans and we have the only guy, other than Abortiani and McCain, who can actually win in the general election, and we nit-pick him to death. Would you rather see Hitlery, the Breck Girl, or Osama-bama as president? We need to get behind one of the three contenders instead of those who have no chance of winning (no chancers: Thompson - although he’s a good guy, he’s a sleep walking geriatric; Hunter - although he’s a good conservative, Christian man, the guy can’t speak and resonates with only about 2% of the general electorate; and, Flip Romney - although he could win the nomination, we are dead meat if he does).

..the huckster is having identity problems....he hopes he pulls in the moderate middle of the road types by bashing the President....(bunker mentality)..meanwhile he exposes himself for what he is...an opportunist who can’t stop apologizing for putting his foot in his mouth. Someone who hasn’t a clue, takes the path of least resistance in order to secure a vote or two, Congress type of solution, ignore it till it bites you on the a$$. Clinton maneuvering act of bashing while self promoting in the guise of taking the high road.

Reagan had his weak points too (hey I love Reagan, I named my daughter Reagan) but Fred or Hunter is our best Republican running hands down. Fred need to be supported by Republicans plain and simple. He is a statesman and has a core set of beliefs about how government should be run. I can not say the same about any other candidate.
I could vote for Mitt but he doesn't come off as genuine in his beliefs.
I can vote for McCain but he has been moving to the liberal side for the past ten years now.
I could vote for Rudy but socially he is certainly no Conservative.
Huckabee is a moron who is not ready for prime time and never will be. He is a guy who was trying to build a resume to increase his private speech fees and found himself in the lead and is probably freaked out.
Hunter is great but at 1% with no momentum during the whole campaign, he's not realistic.
