What kind of Republican is Huck?

He loves teachers unions. He opposes school choice. He pardoned more criminals than Bill Clinton. He raised taxes in Arkansas 21 times to levels greater than his Democratic predecessors.

Is this our current front runner? People wake up.

No. It is a mirage. Have no fear.

I hope it is a mirage. I admit he has said and did things I like in the past but he would be a disaster as President. That is if we want a President in the Reagan mold.

I can’t believe the polls seem to be saying that Republicans are willing to vote for Universal Health Care, High Tax, illegal alien hiring Security/Crime light candidates. Give me Thompson, McCain, or Hunter but God help us if the others are nominated.

What does it matter that the Huckster says he is a good Christian and pro-life when Huckabee will turn the U.S,. into a socialist state where we will all be starving?

Huckabee Begs For New Taxes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pLOC4krZI4

Huckabee Caught Lying About His Tax Hikes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYrGlfkvRV0&feature=related

Huckabee is a pro-illegal, pro-Amnesty, tax raising, big government loving, socialist/liberal, violent criminal pardoning, terrorist appeasing, false prophet. In other words Huckabee is really a Democrat.

Under no circumstances will I ever vote for this liberal/communist con man.

The Huckster Huckabee or Hillary will let in hundreds of millions of 3rd world socialist illegals.

The Huckster or Hillary will surrender to Iran and let Iran build a nuclear arsenal.

The Huckster or Hillary will raise taxes and increase the size of government putting the U.S. on the road to socialism which will destroy our way of life, destroy our economy, destroy our civilization.

If you think I'm exaggerating look at Huckabee's record and into the dangers of socialism.

But hey , the idiot Huckster lies and says he is pro-life so that makes all of this ok huh?

That is exactly the way I feel. I might even hold my nose with a pair of vice grips and vote for Giuliani in the general election if it came down to it. But Romney, Paul, and the Huckster are out. There's too much at stake.

I agree with you on Rudy. He at least isn’t a phony. The other two seem like caricaturists pretending their way to the throne. I listen to them speak and they speak like liberals and sound like media heads. Even McCain has never parroted liberals so well even when the left was holding him up to praise as a maverick.

I agree 100%. We're not electing a national pastor.

This is where the single issue Christian conservative drives me absolutely nuts. My sister, whom I love dearly, subscribes to this kind of thinking. I am afraid to ask her who she votes for, but I figure I better soon so I can hopelfully point out the lunacy of a Huckabee Presidency. The weird part is that she does believe in conservative fiscal and worldview principles, but goes all zombie if a politician like Huckabee pushes the right buttons.

I heard a caller to Levin’s show tonight state that this is a turning point election regarding right to life and therefore he’s for Huckabee. Arggggggghhhhhhh!

McCain? He might be even worse on illegal aliens than Huckabee. At least Huckabee never teamed up with Ted Kennedy to push to give illegals amnesty.

Huckabee is a media creation. The media is starting to turn on him and prop up McCain...again.

I hate political opinion polls.

The recent hard copy of National Review had an article about fundamentalists. The magazine is 225 miles from where I write this, but as I recall from the article, at least 20% of fundamentalists still vote democrat, another (give or take) roughly 20% are "independents" (code for democrat). I've asked a number of fundamentalists that fit into one of these two categories how they can ever justify votes for candidates that espouse pro-death, antiheterosexuality, and rendering more onto Caesar then that which is Caesar's. In most cases its really all about getting even with the rich.

Huckabee provides cover for these people. They can proclaim to one and all that they voted Republican last time. I also agree with Rush, Huckabee's surge in support is a creation of the MSM who need a good candidate for whomever their party chooses to trounce in the main event. In the event of his election, he reverts to his Arkansas form and the good times roll for the libs.

"..another (give or take) roughly 20% are "independents" (code for democrat)."

BS. I've been an independent since I first registered to vote, nigh onto forty years ago, and I certainly don't support Democrats (and my reservations about most Republicans is that they aren't conservative enough).

Uh, sir, I didn’t get up this morning and say to myself, “Wonder Warthog is an independent so I’m going to attack him/her personally.” That really wasn’t my intent. Honestly I was thinking of those people, (and I’m sure you’re not one) that you see on t.v. that get a microphone and camera thrust in their face and answer the question about who they’re going to vote for and they say, “I’m an independent, I always study all the candidates, and I’m going to vote for....”, usually the democrat which is what the mic/cam person wants them to say. I’m sure all the independents are really clear thinkers who always vote for the best candidate to suit their view of things. If that candidate is a baby killing, same sex loving, tax the hell out of your fellow citizens because that’ll show ‘em for earning the money, well, all independents have clear and articulate reasons for being “independents” so those aforementioned candidates must surely have some redeeming characteristics that all the brilliant, clear thinking “independents” who vote for them are aware of. But, I really didn’t mean to attack you and your independence personally, really I didn’t, and I’m sorry you took it that way. I sure am sorry that I offended you. I consider myself a conservative, not an independent. The main reason for that is because I don’t want anyone to make the mistake of thinking that I might be inclined to consider a democrat all things considered, or that I’m particularily enamored with the Republicans. Plus I can find fault with both major parties. But hey, diversity is what its all about—I guess.

Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and he’s got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

I agree on that as well - at least Rudy is not a phony. I feel like Romney is so full of it that sometimes it makes me roll my eyes. I also dont like Huck’s identity politics.

You miss the point completely. It’s not “me” that you’re attacking, it’s the thousands of others who feel just like I do. I assure you that my views of politics are not unique, by any means. To equate “independents” with “democrats” is simply stupidly wrong.
