From the story:
...Crain was convicted in 1981 on federal charges connected with a scheme to rig bids on a state highway construction project. A decade later, she was embroiled in the Tennessee Waltz influence peddling scandal.
Also on the Clinton steering committee is twice-jailed former state House Majority Leader Tommy Burnett of Fentress County.
First imprisoned in 1984 for failure to file an income tax return, Burnett easily won re-election to an eighth term from his jail cell. A few years later, he was caught up in Operation Rocky Top, the federal corruption probe, and went back to jail for another year on federal conspiracy and illegal gambling charges. He went on to a successful career as a lobbyist.

Since felons will vote for her in overwhelming numbers, why shouldn’t they have strong representation in her campaign?

As long as they’ve fully paid their debt to society, they can take the risk of associating with bad companions. But if they’re on parole or probation, they might not be allowed to consort with Clintons.
Either way, it isn’t exactly a sign they’ve reformed.
To: jdm
That's the way it is with the Clintons, either felons or Chinese spies. Anyone who coughs up the cash.

There was a later story where Hilary’s bunch said “mistakes were made” and the felons were booted off the committee. Hey, maybe that’s why Ted drove that car off the bridge? Maybe it was a “steering committee”? Yeah, Ted, that’s the angle to take with all that unfair criticism - blame the “steering committee”.

If all the people listed in Ho She Marx’s committee vote for her, she’ll win TN, hands down. LOL!

You can’t grab a handfull of those among the “political elite” here in Tennessee lately without grabbing felons.

The Clintons are only unconvicted felons themselves, and completely at home with crooks.

You are right. Just not a convicted one. After all of the time and money spent in the Whitewater investigation, they were just too big to bring to trial. The evidence was there. Some people are above the law, and the Clinton’s are among them.
