SEN. Hillary Rodham Clinton has lost the air of inevitability that once surrounded her campaign for the Democratic nomination. It remains to be seen whether she's willing to lose her soul in her quest for the presidency.
Only a month ago, her main rival, Sen. Barack Obama, was dismissed as a "lightweight" by the political establishment. Now he has a slight lead over Senator Clinton in Iowa and New Hampshire and is believed to have a good chance of winning South Carolina.
Magic Johnson's recent endorsement aside, the advantage Senator Clinton once enjoyed over Senator Obama among African-Americans has disappeared. He's even cut into her support from women.
The Clinton campaign has reacted to this change in fortune by going into what can only be described as panic mode. Using political surrogates, campaign apparatchiks, and an increasingly indignant former president, the senator's nomination drive has engaged in a level of innuendo remarkable in its sleaziness.
Days after the firing of a campaign worker who passed along e-mail suggesting Senator Obama was a Manchurian candidate, Billy Shaheen, the co-chair of the Clinton New Hampshire campaign, said Senator Obama would be vulnerable to Republican attack because of his admitted drug use as a teenager. Mr. Shaheen resigned and Senator Clinton apologized.
Shortly after that, former President Bill Clinton questioned Senator Obama's credentials to be president after praising his "tremendous political skills. " In that vein, former Sen. Bob Kerry of Nebraska cited Senator Obama's "Islamic" name and background in Indonesia as a valuable asset to the United States.
It was a disingenuous and back-handed compliment, for which Senator Kerry has apologized. But it wasn't as tacky as the comment by former United Nations ambassador Andrew Young, who told a predominantly black audience that Bill Clinton was "blacker" than Senator Obama and that...

Where has this idiot been? That happened decades ago. The only difference between now and then is that she and Bill have added a few murders along the way (e.g., Vince Foster, Ron Brown, etc.).
There are a SEVERAL MAJOR dynamics at work in Iowa that everyone is missing...
1) The Universities will be CLOSED on Election Day, so there will be no ready pool of “New, Young Voters” and volunteers for any of the campaigns to rely on...
2) This will be the FIRST Election coming DIRECTLY on the heels of large family gatherings.
How much are those “Family Arguments” at Holiday time going to influence the voters?
3) Many Iowans will be on the road, and away from home during the runup and decision phase of this campaign. How is being OUTSIDE of the Iowa Media bubble going to affect thier opinions?
4) It’s DEEP WINTER...
How will the weather affect the older, “Boomer” Democrats and Republicans abilities to get to the polls?
5) I’ve only seen ONE poll that has taken SECOND CHOICES, a critical element of the Iowa Caucus’s...

When the Clinton campaign hits panic mode you will start seeing her opponents committing suicide and dying in airplane crashes.

Scary reading. I can see where some of it is coming from if they feel so disenfranchised, but would Obama be for the rest of us or not? It's very African-centric, not just Afro-centric. Just how much is he for America and other races.
Is he using his charisma and rising star status for his own (hidden) agenda?

I was truly hoping that the witch would’ve had the nomination wrapped-up before her campaign started falling apart. Now there’s a significant chance that either Obama or the Breck Girl could get it. While I don’t think that they’ll win, you never know - they don’t have 48% of the population ready to crawl over broken glass to vote against them.
