Clinton says, oil-pumping countries will lower prices to stifle America’s incentive to develop alternative energy.”

But I thought the world was running out of oil and we our economy was going to go bust if we didn't develop alternative energy????????

On a smaller scale. About those jobs you PROMISED New Yorkers. Oh, that’s right Hillary. Blamed Bush for that failure to deliver.

SHE and her minions can force rationing of energy on us. She may be planning to declare an energy emergency and force rationing.

No she can't. Not without destroying the economy, and sure as hell not without Congress approval. There is one thing that a Clinton demands over power and that is to be loved by the masses. Please stop with the Clinton paranoia! I remember the same crap with Bill suspending the constitution to stay in power and declaring martial law on Y2K! She will not get elected, bank on it!

Big talk for someone who spent her first five years in the Senate helping filibuster the Energy Policy Act. Renewables have been building out at a remarkable rate since 2001, but we could be four years further down the road on wind and solar — and a lot of other things as well — if the Senate dems hadn’t put partisan politics ahead of the national interest.

The Hiledebeast must think we all have forgotten about the “BTU tax” her hubby wanted to inflict upon us.

This is the same claim she made over a year ago during midterms. Last time I checked, gas is nearly a dollar a gallon more than this time last year...

You raise a good issue: is global warming just talk or is it action. To reach the goals of CO2 reductions, demand will need to be substantially reduced. Perhaps the rats just want to pretend the reductions have been made with the phony cap and trading schemes. I think that the rats are serious this time. Global warming is the rat equivalent of war. Control of CO2 is control of living. The rats have found their perfect tool for controlling life.

If the public was opposed to drastic CO2 reductions, the rats would get trounced in the 2008 elections. I see no scenario in which the rats will get trounced. The public is asleep on the impact of binding CO2 reductions. The impact will not be immediate. By the time that the impact is felt, it will be too late to turn back.

You agree with energy mandates? The market place should decide the proper mix of fuel and energy technologies. I am not against renewables or biofuel. Mandates will just lead to boondoggles. The Energy Policy Act of 2007 is a disaster. It is nothing more than a Soviet style central plan to dictate the development of a key element of our economy.

I challenge your assertion that the rats have prevented the development of renewable technologies. The rats are trying to force renewables down our throats. Many states have renewable mandates. These mandates will lead to much higher energy prices. The rats are stopping the construction of coal and nuclear plants. If renewables are so great, why are mandates needed?

The rats always put politics ahead of national interest. They are power-hungry, mad control freaks.

It is called supply and demand. Oil prices are increasing because demand is increasing. The world’s population is growing by 57 million annually and will continue to do so until at least 2050. Add to that the growing affluence of countries like China and India, and you have a growing demand. Hell, the US will add 62 million people [the rough equivalent of the UK] in the next 23 years and 167 million in the next 53 years. We will have to run to stand still.

That might not be the most idiotic statement she has ever made,,,,but it's at least in the top three.

Let's see here,,,,she will punish our oil companies with higher taxes,,,,limit where they can drill even more,,,,and add more regulatory and environmental restrictions,,,,and the price will drop??? HUH????
