A lifetime ban on public criticism of homosexuality was upheld against a Catholic activist in Canada by his province's superior court.

Outrageous. I hope we don’t follow suit.
Tonight at Mass, Monsignor talked about the push to recognize “same gender marriage” in our state and that there are agendas at play. He reminded us that there are natural laws and that allowing those to be set aside is wrong. And that we should learn to take these serious things seriously or it will be at our peril.
I love this guy!
That is what McCain/Feingold was all about.
A human rights tribunal in the same province (Saskatchewan) previously ruled a Christian publisher committed an offence when he refused the business of homosexual activists.
Depends on how fast they can come out.
Is it okay to criticize World Net Daily Enquirer? Whoops guess I just did.
There already must be a law in place - ever notice how no one in the MSM criticizes She Who Must Not Be Named?
Ever heard of a "hate crime"? "Hate speech"?
And coming soon to your neighborhood - "Hate thought"!
I wonder what would happen if I were to try to drive into Canada in my car that sports the bumper sticker “It’s Adam and Eve,Not Adam and Steve”.
You can be sued for libel.
There has to be a reaction to these tribunals. I am surprised someone has not gotten hurt or worse. If this continues that will happen. Canadian libel law needs reform and these Human Rights Commissions need to be abolished.
Not so sure but that we're already somewhere going down that road. (Granted it's hardly the same, but the judge's action is troubling...)
Tyranny of a strong delusion by the deranged and perverted. As it has been said...right is wrong, wrong is right, and everyhting is turned upside down.
ping
Christians have been here before, only then we were thrown in dungeons until we repented.
We won in the end BTW.
I'm afraid the next time won't be so easy on us.
Let them keep it up. Gay rights activists had better learn that they are pushing things to a breaking point.
Want to critique the article? Go on ahead.
Sounds like a pretty smart guy. Too bad more people don’t listen to folks like him.
btt
I am reading a book about the battle of Stalingrad in WWII. The treatment of the Soviet troops by their own leaders, Stalin, the Commissars is beyond belief. They murdered over 13,000 of their own troops for what the Commissars INVENTED were crimes or speech or actions against the state. Troops had their mail read by the commissars and if they complained to their love ones at home, then they were severely punished. Some executed. If they were CAPTURED by the Germans, and escaped or were later freed by their own troops, they were TRIED in a court martial for allowing themselves to be captured, or it was ruled that they were not fighting hard enough.
This type of treatment of the very troops who were fighting and dying in battle, is just an example of how criminal the Soviets are and were, and how it will be here when they get into office. I fully expect them to start passing every law they can, as fast as they can, to outlaw anything and everything that they are against or what they want, just as soon as they have the WH and Congress again at the same time. That will probably be 2009. The first 100 days in 2009 will see more damage to our freedoms than all time combined.
Well, there was a good bit of shuffling in the pews! LOL
Honestly, he’s a good man who sees things very clearly and then says what he needs to say. There are those who are made uncomfortable, but maybe that’s what they need.
He is also the soul of compassion. I fear the day they make him retire.....
Will they make torches out of us to light Nero’s Gardens at night this time?
Trust God, speak your peace, let the chips fall where they may.
How long until it is against the law to criticize politicians?? Just a matter of time
BINGO!!
Most don’t see it coming.
This goes along with the thread about the girl in school arrested for having a knife to cut her lunch. People get all warm and fuzzy about “zero tolerance”
Well, zero tolerance means one thing. You no longer can think for yourself. You become nothing more than “an enforcer”.
If there is “zero tolerance” for riding lawnmowers in your neighborhood, that means the thirty year old next door is guilty if he has one, AND SO IS THE 78 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER DOWN THE BLOCK.
An extreme example, but tells the truth.
We are right behind them and there are few who care enough to stop it.
I'm not going down without a fight. It's not my nature.
Merry Christmas!

This a$$hole looks he's been sucking on too many ... pop bottles ................. FRegards
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
No worries airborne, one man with God on his side is the majority!
Merry Christmas
Controlling thought and speach. Stalin would be proud.
good point.
P1ss on the gay agenda!
We have already begun.
I remember learning in High School years and years ago,, that in the Soviet Union there were so many laws against so many things that,, any person could be stopped on the street at any time and would be found to be guilty of something. That was the point of all the laws. Yes,, zero tolerance is also a sign of things to come. If it were adopted in other areas,, take speeding for example,, it would make no difference if you were caught speeding 5 miles over the limit on the way to the ER. With zero tolerance,, you would be just as guilty and just as evil as the man caught going a hundred in a school zone high on drugs! The penalty would be the same!
Actually the Canadian “gay marriage” experience can be used to bolster arguments in favor of keeping Covenant Marriages.
The number of “gay marriages” is so tiny that it is pitiful that the Canuck lawmakers would overthrow traditional marriage in favor of these things.
How fascist of those liberals.
Next stop: Anytown, USA! I’ll put money on it.
The One enthroned in heaven...laughs.
(see Psalms 2)
“Let them keep it up. Gay rights activists had better learn that they are pushing things to a breaking point.”
I agree completely. PLEASE let them keep it up. We may as well get it over with sooner rather than later. Hopefully when that time of confrontation comes most of them will either leave the country or retreat so far back into the closet that they will cease to be a problem. At least we will not have to listen to their constant whining.
What will happen is the country will shift to the right. Republicans could be making hay with the issue but they are too afraid of being labeled bigots. Homeschooling is growing quickly and be assured we are going to see a confrontation on that as more and more families rebel against liberal public schools. I don’t think they will retreat back into the closet but I think they need to realize that what is inappropriate for heterosexuals is also inappropriate for homosexuals. Parading their aberrant sexuality in the streets, forcing it into the schools, and pushing to redefine marriage is going too far.
How long before they start locking up priests and ministers?
Will missionaries have to smuggle Bibles into Canada?
Nero and Diocletian weren’t too kind to the “new religion.”
Hate Crimes and Hate Speech laws are totally un-American. So is political correctness in any form.
BTTT
Peoples Republic of Canada?...
What in the world is happening to freedom?
Everywhere. It’s disappearing.
We should just take away those faggots freedom; God’s going to anyways so we should follow his example.
