Obama: Soul Food with Sharpton

ABC News Sunlen Miller Reports: Presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama D-Ill., stopped for a little soul food with Al Sharpton in Harlem Thursday evening.

Arriving together in the same car, the two were flanked by people on the street outside the popular soul food restaurant, "Sylvia's" in the heart of Harlem.

Obama yelled, "We gon’ shake up the world," as he entered the restaurant side by side with Sharpton.

The two sat down at a table alone and ate cornbread after greeting a few people eating in the restaurant.

Sharpton yelled, "We gon’ burn down a Jewish-owned store shake up the world," as he entered the restaurant side by side with Obama.

This is the second time that Barack Obama has made a public appearance with this prominent racist and anti-Semite. We must spread the word as widely as possible to make sure he never gets anywhere near the White House, excpet perhaps as a tourist.

We have complained to Obama for America about this, and have received NO answer. We called Obama for America and asked why Obama is enabling and promoting a professional hate monger by appearing in public with him, and they are unable to give us a straight answer. (All they say is, "We are sorry you feel that way.") This shows that they have no answer, and that we can and should use this issue to demolish his candidacy.

Please write letters to the editor and blog postings that describe Obama's public appearances with Sharpton, and the history of Sharpton and his National Action Network. Point out that the promotion of racism and anti-Semitism should be an automatic disqualifier in 21st century America and that, by merely appearing with this hate monger, Obama is empowering and enabling him.

Noting the racist language that has been used by Obama's spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright, maybe Obama himself has a problem with white people and especially Jews.

If this was not a shake down by Sharpton I don't know what it was. I guess I could just stop by Sharpton's hang out and we would go to dinner together and the pressers and the Pavarotti would be there ... they would of course wonder why I, a mere mortal, was with Sharpton ... and the speculation throughout the MSM would be the talk of the morning shows.

Problem is I don't have a past that anybody would be interested in (that I could be shook down for) and I would not settle on nibbling on a slice of cornbread for dinner

With a hidden FBI camera rolling inside a New York hotel suite in 2003, an unsuspecting Rev. Al Sharpton, Democratic candidate for president, spoke candidly.

Sharpton offered to help Philadelphia fund-raiser Ronald A. White win a multimillion-dollar business deal, if White helped him raise $50,000 for politics.

White offered $25,000. "If you bring my guys up on this hedge fund, and I have the right conversation," White said, "I'll give you what you need."

"Cool," Sharpton said.

If Obama is the Dem nominee, I believe Romney, Giuliani, Thompson or McCain could beat him easily. Huckabee, I'm not sure.

The strongest candidate in the Dem field would be Biden. That is not to say I like him, merely that I believe he would be the toughest to beat. Fortunately, he is not getting much traction.

Sharpton’s involvement in the Brawley case is well documented. Fewer know about the Rockaway Five case.

Reggie Rivera was a police officer in the 100 Precinct in Rockaway Beach. One of the things that the Hispanic cop did was to ticket illegal van drivers. Reggie could be seen almost any day on Rockaway Beach Boulevard, stopping the illegal vans and ticketing their drivers.

A number of the drivers, most of them from Latin America, decided to get even with Rivera. Five of them got together and charged that Rivera had sexually assaulted them when he was in uniform and on duty.

The story hit the papers and Sharpton picked up their cause. He organized protest demonstrations each week. The protestors marched from the Hammels Houses to the 100 Precinct. Each Saturday the same Sharpton regulars yelled at the building. Everybody knew that Sharpton bused his demonstrators from place to place, paying them for their time.

Eventually, it was proven that the five van drivers lied. On some of the occasions, Rivera was not even on duty. He would have had to come to the Precinct in uniform and check out a patrol car without being on duty. That does not happen. Evidence was planted. Sharpton pushed the envelope.

Rivera was proven innocent and was transferred to another precinct. The illegal van drivers took over the streets, causing accidents and causing havoc on our streets.

Sharpton never apologized for defaming Rivera. It is not his way.
