It would make you at least honorable. For now, your behavior indicts you as a backstabbing coward. Of course, it is possible that you never learned about honor, although it is not too late. I would urge you to do the right thing. All it takes is a one line note and your signature to your local Bishop and he will take care of the rest.
Most Mormons are really good people. They take care of their own. The main problem with mormonism is that its adherents do not have a pleasant after life! Their beliefs rob them of Heaven.

Well, he admits to a dishonorable act and has not answered, perhaps he is considering repentence so that may ease his conscience. I wonder if he is trying to keep the door open to return.
