That is factually incorrect. Neither Beck nor his wife were LDS. Beck’s wife told him she would not marry him unless they shared a religion. They took their family to a variety of churches and decided as a family to convert to the LDS Church.

I think the pattern like Jesus and Lucifer, Cain and Able, or Moese the Pharaoh, Jacob and Esau etc.
The Book of Mormon scriptures says

When we see this in prespective the role that our Savior plays and the opposition Lucifer/Satan and his agenda which can befound throuh out the scriptures with this knowledge it gives us a deeper insight as to what in going on in the world.

As to Beck being a Mormon, IIRC, when he was dating his wife they didn’t go to any church. She’s Italian, so I imagine she was from a Catholic background as well. They went “church shopping” and ended up in the Mormon church. One of Glenn’s daughters really liked the Mormon church and that’s why they attended it more than once, then they were impressed with the people in the church, and it was Glenn who made the decision to stay.
There’s a couple interviews on youtube where he talks about how he became a Mormon. Search Glenn Beck and Mormon and you’ll come up with the interview (I think they were taped in Utah.)

I did a quick google, and I guess bible translations differ (I knew that). KJV calls him (Lucifer) the son of the morning, and the nasb and niv call him the morning star (according to one website)!
Your analogy is as good as any and doesn't cause a particular problem, but I don't know if Jesus visited this hemisphere or not; I've read legends and that Mormons believe it fulfills what Jesus said "other sheep have I which are not of this fold." Later I wondered if he meant the lost tribes like when he spoke to the Samaritan woman at Jacob's (?) well (claimed he was her "father" = ancestor) and the ones were carried off into exile. I'm really rusty about some of the details.
I believe Mormons believe a tribe travelled in what sounds like a submarine to this hemisphere, haven't thought about it for a long time, am comfortable where I am, not knowing everything :-). At least we have the bible in common and believe much the same about some of it.
I know a lot of your beliefs are different, but I don't like to argue about it or have pressure put on me to think this way or that any more by anyone.

How can Jesus and Lucifer be spirit brothers when their characters and purposes are so utterly opposed?

Why would Huckabee apologize for telling the truth? Why would Romney deny the truth of what his religion teaches?

That paragraph is right up there with the Mother Ship coming to pick us up. Lucifer was NOT a son.
How do you justify all that with "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son...?" Don't tell me it's in the word "begotten."
