Adult Academic Book Store
by: Malcolm A. Kline, December 07, 2007
Our academic elites love to point out to the rest of us how unenlightened we are. Perhaps they can explain the scholarly value of some of the books rolling off of their own university presses, such as the trio of tomes reviewed by Camille Paglia in the September 21, 2007 issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education:
Images of Bliss: Ejaculation, Masculinity, Meaning, by Murat Aydemir (University of Minnesota Press, 2007).
Impotence: A Cultural History, by Angus McLaren (University of Chicago Press, 2007).
Sperm Counts: Overcome by Mans Most Precious Fluid, by Lisa Jean Moore (New York University Press, 2007).
Meet the authors:

If I turned the filters off on my email I could find all the information I wanted to about all those subjects.
It’s for RESEARCH!
Publish or Perish still rules in academia.
The author, Malcom Kline.
One need not wonder about his outrage -- this pic suggests that male sexuality disturbs him.
Why am I not surprised?
Two puns AND a reference to Dr. Strangelove, all in one 8-word title. Not bad!!
that’s what passes off for “hard science” these days
Given the subject matter of this thread, I am loath to click that link while in my office. :)
And another thing. How is it that I need lectures on ejaculation from people who've never had one in their entire lives? You want an expert opinion, ask a real expert. What's Pee Wee Herman written on the topic is what I want to know? Where does Ron Jeremy weigh in? (It's more impressive in grams). Do these academic authors address anything of real importance such as loft and ballistics? I thought not.
While I'm on the topic, did anyone notice that these authorities are, respectively, professors of literature, history, and (cough!) gender studies? These are people for whom normal man-and-woman sex is as alien as fertilizing a hot clutch of jubjub eggs in the slime marshes of Planet Zoob. And they want a C-note a copy for 400 pages of incomprehensible comment about it. I'll stick with Candy Stripers Go Wild, thankyouverymuch.
Very true. After checking it out at MY office, I suggest you don’t.
Thanks for the warning... perhaps I will tonight.
Carolyn
The author of the book on male sperm is a woman...maybe
