Seattle commentator Ken Schram of KOMO: "How does some inept, insensitive idiot with the IQ of room temperature even get a TSA job? That TSA screener should have his [expletive] fired. And those soldiers deserve at least an apology."

“How does some inept, insensitive idiot with the IQ of room temperature even get a TSA job?”
Who do you think applies? No one in the top half of any class even applies for this job, what do you expect.
It just made me cry. In both anger and sadness. Good God. What on earth is wrong with people?
It’s rare when scram-bam gets it right, but he got it right this time.
Washington ping
Terminally Stupid Asses
No one with a room temperature IQ applies for the job in the first place. We finally have the military working in Iraq to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqis. How about reforming TSA's policies to win the hearts and minds of the American public? Ooops - my bad - we just pay their salaries.
This guy by saying and IQ of room temperature gives these folks way to much intelligence.
“You can’t professionalize unless you federalize.”......Remeber that little gem from Tom WHAT’S HIS FACE?
Thousands standing around
There was a TSA headwrap Muzzie at the SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI airport inspecting luggage about 6 months ago. Incredibly snotty to just about everyone, someone finally fired him for fudging his timecard.
really rare! I wonder how long he will be employed
This kind of thing makes my blood boil. Fired? First they should be made to strip off their issued uniforms in front of everyone...then fired and set to go home in their skivvies.
I cannot f-ing believe this. This should go out to EVERYbody. I want that screener’s name and picture plastered everywhere this story shows up.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
check this out!
this reporter was amazing! Really glad to see it.

I’ve been searched by rude Burka Babes at Dulles. I’ve been searched by Ethiopians and Libyans and Russians. The Russian was the only one that had a sense of humor and was polite. I would have loved to beat the others with a large stick.
I’d like a lot more details. This could be a well deserved hit job on TSA with little basis in fact. No dates, names, flight #s. Not even the fallen soldier’s name, which most certainly should have been included.
Good point. Best to verify. But once verified, I’d like some other info. Like that screener’s name and picture. That’s what I want. I cannot believe how angry this makes me.
Some antimilitary jacka$$ decides that he can make the servicemen do tricks for him, so he does.
here is the print version. Need to google to hopefully find more on the incident.

Remember - “DHS” is pronounced “duhs”
Thanks! Got it bookmarked. I don’t want some stupid apology from the TSA, either. I want that screener’s name and pic posted and then I want him fired. I wouldn’t mind seeing all that happen during a press conference either.
Thanks for the update. I haven’t found anything other than what’s here yet but it sounds as if more info will come to light soon.
I don’t know anything about Congressman Norm Dicks but maybe he will do something. Sounds like a great oppty fell in his lap.
To bad the Soldiers can’t meet the TSA Twerp after work for a little Motivation Platoon Training.
Well, if he wants to make a real impression, he needs to call a news conference at which he would drag that screener by the ear to the podium, make him apologize, then fire him. Anything less is unacceptable.
I heard Norm Dicks was pissed. he was on KVI tonight with the commentators, Carlson and Schram.
4:00 TSA Soldiers
Schram and Carlson tackled the issue of what happened at SeaTac, in nutshell - a military escort transporting remains of a fellow solider was stopped by TSA and forced to disrobe despite the Port Police. Norm Dicks joined the show and shared in the outraged. The question that centered the topic, was A) Is this wrong, B) What should happen to the TSA worker

It has been said that the TSA is not only the biggest welfare-to-work prgram ever invented, but on a percentage basis, has the highest rate of Workers Comp claims of any industry.
A uniformed police officer then accompanied them to the screening area where their combat medals and ribbons helped set off the metal detectors. They showed their military ID. The police officer showed his ID. Told to put down the American flag they were carrying, a TSA screener then had the soldiers strip to their tee shirts, pants and socks in full view of everyone in line.
thanks for that info. Betcha it’s all over the talk shows tomorrow.
Norm Dicks is , unfortunately , my Congress critter, and he’s worthless!! But, put a TV camera in front of him and his vital signs begin to register again!
He’s a pet turtle that never sticks his neck out.
Republican?
Thanks! There was a thread earlier today on this with a “wonderful” photo at post 37.

Thanks! - I see now that chardonnay told us about this this morning. I really want to follow this story - somehow I think Hannity, Rush, Glen Beck, O’Reilly, etc will be all over it tomorrow.
Trans-sexual A-holes?

thanks to USF.
ah, but post-9/11, the Dems forced them to be hired as US Government employees. So, really, it does fit.
Only one soldier from Virginia died this month, Derek Banks. He died in San Antonio from wounds suffered in Iraq. Doubt if he flew through Seattle.

It is not a hit piece. The Soldiers were escorting a casualty from Fort Lewis, Wa. It is big news here.
On mid-tour leave from Iraq in my desert uniform, I was stopped and searched in each airport I entered. Got to be a real drag. Despite my uniform, orders, rank and ID card, I guess I fit whatever profile they were looking to search.
Really frustrating...
Regards,
BAGHDAD (AP) November was on course to be the least deadly for American troops in Iraq since March 2006, with the U.S. military reporting its 35th death of the month Thursday.
Actually, the page you linked to reports 3 deaths in November, but AP reports 35. That's a big disconnect between the two.
The TSA should be relegated to the trash heap. I'm surprised that the soldiers didn't give the TSA monkey a single-finger salute!
You're working your thankless job that comes with a book an inch thick on procedure. You are tested every few months to make sure you follow that book to the letter. You see other people make exceptions to the rule and get fired or written up (which hurts any chance you may have for promotion).
Now here comes an official-looking group. You know that you and your fellow employees are randomly tested to make sure you follow the book. If you don't, you're fired and your face is plastered all over the news.
What do you do? If you let them through, you're fired. If you stop them and make them remove their dress jackets, the media screams "off with his head!!"
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
As far as TSA patting down old ladies: Did you know that they're trained that the Enemy is planning on using women with false-pregnant bellies and old ladies to get past security? (Which they probably are.) If I were TSA I'd ignore any official who tries to bypass security because the Enemy can get a hold of false documents and smuggle all sorts of nasties on board and aircraft. Think about it for just a second. Contrary to what we'd like to believe, most of these terrorists aren't stupid people. (Remember the doctors in the UK?) TSA screeners are in an impossible position. They're working for a thankless bureaucracy that doesn't know the meaning of "exceptions to the rule" and they have to be constantly wary of an enemy who's sole purpose in life is to get past them.
Do they do a lousy job? I don't know. How many planes have been blown up or flown into buildings in the last few years? Do you really care if they're nice about doing their jobs or do you care more that they get you to your destination in one piece?
BTW, my husband is a soldier. He's all *about* following the rules. I'll check with him tomorrow, but I'm sure he'd agree with me.
Ken said that?! And he’s big time liberal...
I work near Ft Lewis and Mchord. I see folks like you all the time. God Bless you, and your fellow soldiers in the armed forces.
>> this reporter was amazing! Really glad to see it.
Me too!
Isn’t this a rehash?
Seems I remember this happening months or a year ago.
Turned out the ‘story’ was mostly hype.
After seven years, Bush deserves some credit.
Thank you. There was another incident similar to this. I just wouldn’t want freepers to be suckered in, due to the nature of the MSM beast.
And... Really.... Thank you sir, for putting your life on the line so we can live in a country where we can find the truth, and right the wrongs.
It would be nice if this flared up like Lights on a Christmas Tree and put the TSA on notice.
QUIT STRIP SEARCHING 2 year olds, Nuns, and American Soldiers!
I agree.
It is not the people doing the searches that are the problem.
It is the PC RULES we are playing a LIFE AND DEATH game with.
It is not right.
It needs to be fixed.
Reward TSA screeners for actually culling out and disarming actual terrorists.
