Broadcast Of New Bin Laden Message
Updated:18:35, Thursday November 29, 2007 A new message purportedly from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden calls on European countries to end military cooperation with the US in Afghanistan.
"The American tide is ebbing, so it is best for you to press your leaders to change their policies," bin Laden said, addressing Europeans and referring to their countries' military contributions in Afghanistan.
Al Jazeera television broadcast two short excerpts of an audiotape.
Bin Laden said his Taliban allies had no knowledge of plans for the September 11 terror attacks in the US in 2001 - a main reason for the US-led invasion of Afghanistan.
Al Qaeda announced several days ago that it would release the tape soon.
It is bin Laden's fourth message this year.
He would be the weak horse.
News from the grave?
He’s dead ... this is just Harry Reid’s speechwriter.
There is not one word that Osama (or his voice) could utter that would be of interest to me. If the US gov’t wants to analyse it from stem to stern is fine but don’t waste my time.
....or The DNC
Haven’t heard a fresh tape from Abraham Lincoln in years. Maybe Alqaida would be entertained by Honest Abe’s opinion on Afghani Rebels just in time for Christmas.
How did he not get selected for the CNN Youtube debate?
Pretty obvious he’s on the DNC talking points blast fax call list these days.
Sent to Al Jazeera from a Kinkos in Texas.
What, did he give up on Iraq?
Meaning the Taliwhackers are getting their butts kicked and are now starting to blame Bin Lameo for distrupting their nice little paradise of drugs and women slaves. Sounds like they told Bin Lameo either you get this to end or we're giving you guys up.
I think they main reason was because Binny was residing there and the Taliban was not about to hand him over.
Darn, too late for CNN to get this average man on the streets message into the You Tube debate last night.
Many thought OBL was dead, as in died in Dec 2001. Bombs, medical condition, it doesn’t matter, some including FOX News reported he was.
I would like to see a video, with current newspaper or some evidence to verify a time table that he is alive.
The other videos have proven nothing and the audio’s, well, that leaves a lot to desire and question more.
JMO
How are the moonbats like Kevin Barrett going to spin this new confession by UBL that he, not Bush/Cheney, was indeed responsible for 9-11-2001?
He sure is busy for a dead man.
In the meantime...how do you say ‘surge’ in Talibanese?
Don’t his lackeys ever give him the straight skinny?

“He would be the weak horse.”
Wow, good memory!
Why didn’t CNN allow OBL to ask questions in the debate last night?
I wish I had access to the original. I could traceroute the IP address of hell (probably 666.666.666.666).
Who knows; with a little effort exploiting that IP address, you might find the electronic source of the 900 FBI files, the Rose Law Firm billing records, the democrat blast faxes to the lamestream media, and Hillary’s funding.
By aiding and abetting murder, the Taliban regime is committing murder. And tonight the United States of America makes the following demands on the Taliban. Deliver to United States authorities all of the leaders of al-Qaida who hide in your land. Release all foreign nationals, including American citizens you have unjustly imprisoned. Protect foreign journalists, diplomats and aid workers in your country. Close immediately and permanently every terrorist training camp in Afghanistan. And hand over every terrorist and every person and their support structure to appropriate authorities. Give the United States full access to terrorist training camps, so we can make sure they are no longer operating. These demands are not open to negotiation or discussion. The Taliban must act and act immediately. ---George W. Bush, September 20th 2001

Surge Suppressor: The Sequel [Stanley Kurtz]
If you thought the mainstream media didnt want to report on the Iraq surge, try finding stories on the Pakistani armys offensive in Swat. I know its an important issue, because the New York Times ran an op-ed yesterday claiming that Pakistan never does anything about Islamists in its northwest. So where is the Timess coverage of the gains made yesterday by Pakistans army in Swat? Clearly the Times has been put to shame by the Washington Post, which devoted at least three whole sentences to the issue today.
How many people in the United States know that for the past week or so Pakistans army has been shelling Swat, attacking with helicopter gunships, cutting off food to the area, taking strategic hills, and reportedly, yesterday, driving Taliban opponents out of their headquarters and several key entrenched positions, and forcing them into the mountains. Much of the civilian population of the area fled some time ago, after being warned by the army of an imminent offensive. Where are the in-depth stories on all this in our mainstream outlets?
The reports of Pakistans apparently significant gains in Swat come from major sources, like Pakistans Daily Times, the widely quoted Malaysia Sun, China View, and of course the ever-popular Adnkronos. Granted, with the valley closed off and communications shut down, word from the front has been sketchy. Yet somehow these lesser-known sources managed to carry the story. Where are the Wests major media outlets?
The mainstream media has repeatedly made the supposed lack of fighting in Pakistans northwest into an issue. But in fact Pakistan has been carrying out a significant offensive in Swat for the greater part of the emergency. The Western media has simply ignored or downplayed it.
Im not saying we should accept Pakistans account of the offensive in Swat at face value. Pakistans army has certainly earned the right to skeptical coverage. The army has backed out of fights, has been plagued by desertions, and has singed peace treaties that were in fact surrenders. On the other hand, the Pakistani armys offensive in Swat merits open-minded coverage as well. There is a new political environment in Pakistan. Western support for Musharraf is in doubt, and that gives him every reason to step up his attacks on the Islamists. The very precariousness of the political situation in Pakistan may actually be working in favor of the War on Terror. If thats the case, we need to know about it. But this is clearly a story-line the press does not wish to report.
In addition to getting across information about a crucial theater in the war on terrorsomething the media ought to feel a responsibility to doserious and skeptical, but also open-minded scrutiny of the Swat campaign would undoubtedly help stiffen the armys spine. If the whole world was watching, it would be a great deal more difficult for the army not to follow through with a serious offensive.
Even a military success would be only the beginning of the story. Would the militants fight their way back? Equally important, would the government take steps to govern Swat in such a way as to increase its own appeal, and dampen popular support for the Islamists? These are all questions that directly effect the safety and security of Americans. The medias constant carping at Musharraf for allegedly doing nothing in Pakistans northwest makes it seem as if they believe the issue is important. Yet their failure to cover ongoing developments in Swat calls the medias seriousness and objectivity into question.

“How did he not get selected for the CNN Youtube debate?”
They couldn’t confirm his republican voting status.
Plus Anderson Cooper doesn’t like his fashion sense.
Sorry, “Osama”...as long as you insist on not releasing your pathetic messages on video while holding a copy of that day’s New York Times, you’ll remain dead to me.

I think this is mainly done as a morale booster since they are losing bigtime.
Need something to get their spirits up.
If this were a football game. It would be 42-3 in the 4th quarter with 3 minutes to play.
“The American tide is ebbing, so it is best for you to press your leaders to change their policies,”
I have felt more intimidated by sushi.
Ron Paul’s attorneys are reportedly suing bin Laden for plagiarism.
You might add to that....”or else...the bombing starts in ten minutes”.
Damn, I miss Ronnie!
That’s why it’s obvious (to anyone but a liberal/leftie) that Bin Laden is dead, and probably has been for years. Otherwise, he’d be all over the MSM networks in live video trying to build up the frenzy and fanaticism in his followers.
You know how the libs/lefties always get everything 100% wrong and backasswards? Well, the lefties apparently “think” that Bin Laden is alive, but that these tapes are bogus and are being put out by Bush’s administration in order to scare the American public into supporting the WOT. In other words, they’re accusing Bush of doing what they would do in his place, and as usual, they’re 100% wrong about Bin Laden’s ‘state of being’, as well as everything else.
Nothing new there.
In the meantime, I hope to he*l that the Paki's AND the US are corroborating on the border to Afghanistan where we have troops undergoing multiple firefights every day - catch them running across the border both to and from - wipe em out - make it very inhospitable - protect OUR troops...not just stir up another hornets nest that leaves things worse for out troops in the Korengal and Pech -
aerial of the Korengal and Pech - the white line is Pakistan - you can see how easily the Taliban ooze in and out over the border...
He is dead... none of these tapes can be confirmed... he is dead... dead... dead!

What a loser, he’s even out of ideas. If this is his real message it truly shows he has no power whatsoever ...
You guys are crackin’ me up...I didn’t expect this thread to be so darned funny.
“How did he not get selected for the CNN Youtube debate?”
De Palma couldn’t shoot the video of Osama.
What, did he give up on Iraq?
The fact that he is only talking about Afghanistan could indicate that this message is from before the Iraq War. Does he mention another more current events??
When Al Qaeda is busted pawning off an old Bin Laden message will be the indication that he's burning in hell.
That, or he’s admitting that Iraq WAS involved in 9/11.
Bin is getting very little air time. He may want to get another recording contract with someone other than Cave Records.
The loser lives in a cave, he’s hiding out in Saudi Arabia, begging charity off the Iranians, or he’s dead. Whatever. The real question is why do we care what he says? The World’s moved on. Osama is yesterday.
Ha. That's easy.
Bush/Cheney pay Binny's bills! UBL is a CIA operative, silly.
Wait. Have you ever seen Cheney and UBL in the same room? Didn't think so. Same guy, friend.
Deader than a doornail........6 year anniversary coming soon....
I still would like to see proof that bin laden is dead.
Wow... you are correct... six years already. Time flies.

Perhaps it was poor translation. It seems more like a plea - "For the American tide is ebbing to ebb, so it is best for you to press your leaders to change their policies. Yes, I think I fixed it.
I have felt more intimidated by sushi."
MMMMM - sushi!
